there is an error code actually if you look hard enough on the reflective plastic covering the code window.
says "TC101"

EVGA warranty does't cover that error code. So i had to "modify" the error code LED by disabling it

for that cpu for sure not needed, nice to but not needed, for use still with duals its getting to the point where 3.4ghz is needed on overclock.. Helps a great deal and im grateful the old E duals can manage it

I like seeing 7.8 on my windows experience index for CPU and RAM. 3.4Ghz overclock only gave me a score of 7.7... uncool
And those mofos at EVGA are replacing my board for free. Theyre lucky they didn't fuck up my CPU with their stupid passively cooled board!

No doubt. I cant stand it when people don't take responsibility for there own actions. You should be buying a new board yourself because you cooked your old one. Your fried your board from over clocking, man the fuck up.

Completely your fault. No offence, but you are an idiot not to monitor the temps yourself when doing some harder OC.
You should've noticed the temps were going too high and installed at least a goddamn fan on it.

Sad is that you have the money to buy expensive stuff to OC, and you don't even bother doing it properly, AND in the end you get new MBO even tho it's your fault.

Well technically its not gonna be new though. EVGA always sends re-certified stuff when you do RMA so itl work but it wont be shiny new. Just hoping it doesn't smell like cigarettes and weed

Alright honestly I was trollin. This was obviously my fault and I know it. Im glad theyre sending me a re-certified board so I can use my comp again.
I dont really even know if the board got fried or not to be honest. When I saw very high idle temps for NB in BIOS (in normal ambient room temperature) I thought that was quite odd considering how there aren't any hot components in the case. Also its quite abnormal for the NB of that board to reach that high even under load according to OCN forums
Another thing worth mentioning is when I overclock and stress test, I set the ambient temperature in this room usually to sub-zero temps. subzero air was getting pulled into the comp case as well which should have been more than enough to keep the NB temp in check. I knew about the hot passive NB heatsink so I always made sure ambient temperature was subzero when going over 4.4ghz
So its a bit odd that the board can withstand stress testing at 4.4ghz in normal warm room temperature but fucks up at a higher frequency under subzero temperatures. What I did do different this time was that I stress tested with LinX for the first time ever
I kinda doubt that something actually got fried/burned to be honest. If it did get fried, there would have been burnt capacitor or some sort of physical discoloration. But nothing.... every single capacitor on that board looked perfect. No messed up PCB, no fucked up pins, nothing
Also on a side note regarding why I would overclock... when you spend close to $400 on a water cooling setup, you bet ur ass ur gonna overclock the shit out of the component (within reasonable temps ofcourse)
ALSO I dont think EVGA replaces products that have physical damage. So if it actually did get fried, they would have denied me RMA
