I haven't watched Skyline yet, but:
since when is it wrong to express own opinions in an open forum environment? 
Everybody here has a working brain able to form an idea, no? Why should the users be influenced by a hypotetic "common trend"? I don't get it.

cg is average at best. this movie relies only on cgi. it's shot like a tv show. basically it's the event. exactly like the event. with at least one person showing off their acting chops, whilst others are complete shit like the main girl in the event.
if you say the ending is what makes this movie stand out... then stfu cause it's not.

the guy becomes one of them cause they used his brain and he fights it off and becomes her saviour and will fight for her and also save her. so the ending is a good ending. it's not dark at all or sad. it would've been 10x better if i believed the pregnant bitch was pregnant and didn't see it just as something added for kicks to add drama... |
all in all... the movie sucks dick.
and seriously... predators was a decent sci-fi movie. (7/10) awsum director too.
turn your brain off and enjoy.

Like I said in the skyline thread, it kept me in my seat and kept me interested the entire movie, waiting to see what would happen and what was the ultimate goal. None of that came, but still, it kept me interested, and that's what I liked about it.
And since its really rare for me to have a movie keep me interested enough to watch in one go, or without playing EVE online on the second monitor while watching, due to boredom, I give it a 9/10.
I don't have any specific qualities of the movie I liked or disliked, I just enjoyed it overall, that's it.
And I already got bashed for giving it that score in the skyline thread, but I can't change the fact that I watched it and I liked it. If I was to watch it and judge it objectively based on specific factors like acting/story/effects/etc I'm sure it would get a much lower score.

same with commando and other arnold super action man movies.
they aren't good. they're just mindless action movies.
predators was just that. Mindless action movie that didn't take it self too seriously and was just a blast to watch. if you thought it tried to be too much then go watch some lame

Predators is a 2010 remake of a 1987 movie that looks worse that the original. What can be more pathetic than that...? 
There are cheesy B-movies like Rambo 4 (Expendables being utter shite) or Skyline - they're good in their own genre.
Predators is just a very bad ripoff and that's why it doesn't even fit into the B-movies category - it's a whole level down from that.
Anyways implying that Predators is better than Predator 1987 and Skyline is like... I just don't know what to say honestly. It's pure lulz. |

it felt like a high school project...
predator is, in all honesty, a mindless mucho action movie. back then it was awesome.
now it's just nostalgia that makes it 'awesome' but if it came out now, it would get lolled at and compared to expandable... seriously.
skyline is a shit sci-fi channel sci-fi movie. it's a fucking nuclear tornado all over again.
it's snakes on a train. or mega prihana.

yeah so we cant always hope for a happy ending, but jesus shit, how is it a good idea to end a movie this way... we dont mind if the bad guys win if theyre LIKABLE, but in this case they totally werent, so its just like farting in the viewers face ffs.
aside from that, wasnt shot very well and there were some crap filmmaking choices here.. i might watch it again, but 2 is really the limit. not a good heist film, not a good cops n robbers film, and not a very satisfying film.
but it gets a 5 for atleast being relatively entertaining for the MOST part.... just not anything id say was a 'good' film... average at best.

I enjoyed Predators (with it's flaws and lack of depth) immensely more than I enjoyed Skyline (I didn't enjoy Skyline at all, it merely annoyed me by being stupendously bad).

The Town Extended Bluray - 9/10 - Did not expect i would like this movie so much, but that was great! kudos to affleck for directing and screen writing and acting!

Magnolia 8/10 for me it dragged a bit at some places, but in the end i enjoyed it immensley. I like endings like that.
Boogie Nights 8/10 Awesome stuff. I rememberseeing a bit of it on the tv when i was little, but at that time it felt wierd to watch movies with this much nudity with my parents in the same room

Watched all the harry potter movies for the first time, 8/10 overall, I enjoyed the newer ones more. Didn't think I was gonna like it at all, so it's a nice surprise.
