Please help me choose, I don't care about video recording, I care more about Android ... performance. Also, can I update their Android version easily ? What happens when new versions come out, will official updates be released ?
Which company offers better future compatibility and support ?
halp meh !

Neither. You need LG P500 Optimus One, it's fast and has Android 2.2 built in whereas both X8 and GT540 don't have official 2.2 yet.

They will someday.
GT540 sucks donkey balls automatically because it has a resistive touchscreen, not a capacitive one.
So either get P500 which is sex (in that price range) or the X8.

Xperia 8 is a girls phone. My sister has it and she's super satisfied with it (she fiddles with it all the time). But it's totally a girls phone...

Your sister being among the owners doesn't make it a girls phone. Especially the black case version totally doesn't look like a girls phone.
Anyway it's still better than the GT540 but definitely worse than P500.

she got 3 masks with her phone and they all look girly to me
But it's a decent phone (android really is great OS for phones)...

Thanks for the replies. OK, gt540 is out of the question, then. I'll keep P500 and X8 in mind.
Also, I got a kinda good deal for galaxy 3, is that any good ? Will it get updates ?

Even though it has a capacitive touchscreen the res is 400x240 which is unacceptable today. And it ain't sexy by the feel. Kind of clunky.
p.s. It will have 2.2 eventually

Oh, then screw that lowres shit. I got to check prices for p500 and X8 and get one of them in the next couple of days. If anyone has another not-so-expensive phone to propose, let me know.

Maybe that Orange San Francisco nouse suggested? I've never seen it myself but specs look nice.

Browsers are software, it doesn't depend on the device. Anyway there's some flash support in Android browsers (built-in or 3rd party), especially on 2.2 but it's not perfect like PC.
But as I already said it doesn't really depend on hardware or model.

Well, the performance depends on their specs. Hires videos may not play smooth ?
I wonder how those moving 360-panorama videos would work. Anyone tried them ?

Forget about 'em. Flash video doesn't work.

Because it's not something impossible, hard to program or hard to run on modern hardware. They just need to come to an agreement with Adobe but they can't do it somehow despite all Apple's mightyness.
