But what about those reviewers that were saying "GET THE PS3 VERSION!!!111 It might have a shitty framerate, look like ass, missing foliage and other effects but you get AWESOME DLC "

TWIN PEAKS is "something of a miracle."
"...like nothing else on television."
"a phenomenon."
"A tangled tale of sex, violence, power, junk food..."

Mafia 2 ban called for in European Paliament
Quote: | A Member of the European Parliament has called for Take-Two's Mafia II to be banned.
Sonia Alfano, whose father was murdered by the Mafia in 1993 when she was at University, has campaigned extensively on behalf of the relatives of those who've suffered at the hands of Italian organised crime.
As president of the Italian association for the families of Mafia victims, Familiari Vittime di Mafia, Alfano says she's taken offence at what she sees as trivialising the grief suffered by generations of Italian citizens.
"It really, really hurts," she said of the game. "We can't allow this to happen, the wounds are still too fresh."
Last week Alfano asked the European Commission to consider banning the game, which sees players rise up the ranks of the mob in Empire Bay, a fictional New York.
Upon its release a US organisation representing Italian American citizens slammed the game, calling it "a pile of racist nonsense".
Alan Lewis, Take-Two's VP for corporate communications and public affairs, defended Mafia II: "Mafia II tells a compelling story about organised crime in America - a subject that for decades has been featured in award-winning movies, television shows and novels such as The Godfather and The Sopranos," he said.
"We fully and completely stand behind our creative teams and products, including Mafia II." |
Yeah think about banning videogames, as if there is nothing more important to do in this period of extreme recession

Great, got a game breaking bug with Joe's Adventures. Progress 70%, just finished the Supermarket mission and my checkpoint is now stuck in spawning me under the map. Fucking brilliant. So it's either restart the game or uninstall, I wonder what will it be...

Step #1 would be to not have a Mafioso at the head of Italy rather than banning a game that's terrible to begin with >_<
(Sorry ixigia, but something tells me you agree ) |
Oh there's no need to say sorry, I strongly agree with you
(I also took part at several -peaceful- demostrations against the actual government during the last year, unfortunately without achieving any successful result :/ , since Mr. Mafiaman is still there stronger than ever).

LOL.. okay.. so someone made a mistake.. but idk who.. Either 2K or Skidrow...
2K says Mafia I was updated: http://store.steampowered.com/news/4958/
Skidrow released an update for Mafia II..
So who is right?
edit I think it's Skidrow's mistake.. The changelog talks about the "Mafia launcher" and Mafia II doesn't have a launcher while I think I remember Mafia 1 had one.
TWIN PEAKS is "something of a miracle."
"...like nothing else on television."

I found this info:
Quote: | Mafia II Update 4 info:
- Fixed an issue where French, Italian, German and Spanish users would be unable to save their settings from the mafia launcher on a 64 bit Operating system. |

As I said Mafia II does not have a launcher. Mafia I did. I have no idea what files Skidrow found to be updated..

If that means they are done with this game I am very disappointed. The ending SCREAMED "there's a DLC epilogue coming" and I was anxiously waiting for it.

Game is over half a year old. Nobody gives a fuck about it any more. So what shall we do? Oh yes, let's repackage the game with some crappy, already-played-to-death, DLC.. and sell it again! Full price of course!
2k at their finest.

now that's good. because you will see, the way to explain story, to achieve quests and even the story chapters has just been copied from GTA4. It can be nice of course, don't mind it, but even if you like both games, to call Maffia 2 a lame copy of GTA4 is so obvious.
