I am into scifi, horror. Ptch black and Event horizon offcourse seen 1000x times.
Any good space ship, space movie or animation? I don't think ther is anything I didnt seen but maybe I will be suprised

Or maybe just a nice animation like Dead Space downfall or Dantes inferno? Laughing

I am waiting for Dead Space2 and just watched movie for the first time. allright.
Also becouse of it I got into animations mood and watched Dantes game animation. Even better I think.

Nothing gets better than BSG Wink

You're probably searching for something along the lines of Event Horizon.

Really notable and outstanding acting performance by Sam Neill, you'll be surprised! Wink Laughing

BSG is a 10/10 for sure, a must watch imo..

Pandorum = very entertaining. Loved it.

Sunshine = decent, but not as good as Pandorum, not even close.

Soylaris = very slow, but one of the best movies ever made imo. Very beautiful photo, interesting plot and very beliavable characters.

Moon was quite good too.

Though I haven't watched Soylaris, I'm going to get that asap.

And I can only agree on BSG, especially the first season is amazing!

please

on the subject:

Cargo (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0381940/) quite new
Saturn 3 (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0079285/) oldie
Solyaris (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0069293/) not the US version!
Planetes (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0816398/) awesome anime about space w/o giant robots

i'll post more when i remember something

P.S. BSG is NOT just sci-fi about space (or you didn't understand it at all) and the guy obviously asks for space sci-fi

bad if you are a CGI/GFX whore and awesome if you love great Cinema

p.s. Solyaris (or rather the book by Lem) is actually behind all those movies - Event Horizon, Sphere and others because that's where the idea of horrors/dreams coming to life was first used.

Waargh. Yep. Something space/space ships/unknown planets releated.
BSG as far as I remember from couple of TV's shorties is mostly about space politics beetwen human and humanoid type guys who absolutly hate each other Laughing

Kinda interesting. Just not my bread

I am 22yo so I was not able to watch it new.
But for the comparsion. I decided to watch old 2001 odyssey recently and It wasnt half bad i was expecting. Maybe kinda too much questions and too less anserws.

Which language are they speaking in '72 solyaris? Russian?

this might give an idea:

Solaris is a meditative psychodrama that is set mostly on a space station in orbit around a planet called "Solaris". The film concentrates on the thoughts and the conscience of its characters and is a "drama of grief and partial recovery". Solaris and its complex and slow storytelling has sometimes been contrasted with Western science fiction films, which rely on special effects and an imagined version of the future.

So not sure if you'll like it @ 22 Very Happy

I've never heard of a dubbed version and watched it with eng subs.
