http://www.anandtech.com/show/4100/ocz-vertex-pro-3-demo-worlds-first-sandforce-sf2000 In a nutshell: twice as fast as the current Vertex 2, and with NAND prices dropping, most likely a lower cost per GB Vertex 2 is still dropping, although not as fast as 2 months ago. The 60 GB version has dropped below €100 now! :}

I was sort of pointing to prices finally coming down to levels where they almost make sense. But they're still ridiculously expensive per GB compared to ordinary drives.
