Yeah me too. We had that problem before. It's because the server isn't very "stable" and I think that notch could and should rewrite big chunks of the netcode :/ Can't imagine that Java itself is so buggy that the connection crashes all the time

hmod has been abandoned and won't be updated anymore.
you should have a look at www.bukkit.org instead.
Of course this means all the plugins your server relied on or are in use, won't be working anymore - until equivalents are released for bukkit |

I have that too, Tomb Raider 1 instilled that fear into me when I was around 10, and I never really got over it. I think there were sharks or crocodiles or something in the water, and you could not shoot while swimming so you felt incredibly vulnerable.

There's a version out there that updates itself - get that and you're good to go for the foreseeable future. 1.2_01 is the latest so that one'll do until another update comes.
