when I was playing it, it did the mission complete thing it self.

can't get it installed.
wants me to insert cd2, i do it, and still keep getting the "insert cd2" message.
checking my drive in the workplace, i still see cd1 content?!
wtf...anyone knows whats wrong here?

maybe you just burned cd1 content on both blanks. just a guess. |

Hmm, I start to wonder if I am the only one with these problems.
Whenever I alt-tab to Windows and return to game, or if I just try quitting the game, my machine will reboot.
This is KINDA annoying as I already lost my ~15min key etc configs and also ~45min games... and there's no point to start the game as when I try quitting, it will crash and I'll lose my profiledata.
Does anyone know where the profile / savegame data are located? I might autobackup them every 3min and when starting a new game, I could just copy those files...
It might be related I am running WinXP Media Center edition, switching to 64Bit XP Pro soon...

nope, it's allright.after reseting and inserting the cd again it is the right content...something wrong with my dvd-rw drive maybe...
need to test it in another one.

Anyone else finding the missions very repetitive?
I'm up to the diamond exchange one now, and it's like every mission description is the same, "barricade hostage situation." I understand that that's pretty much what SWAT does, so it's going to be similar each mission, but it still feels like the only thing that changes is the map. The serial killer one is the only one so far that's at all outside the mold. At least in that one they only threw in one extra criminal, as opposed to all the rest where you're told there's 3-4 suspects and it's really anywhere from 2-5x as many.
Something else, I'm finding the only way to really score high enough to beat the missions on Hard is to equip everyone with less-lethal shotguns. They're still effective enough on armored guys, so you can pretty much guarantee a perfect arrest score. It just doesn't seem very realistic though. I'm sure it's part of the PR that goes along with LA SWAT agreeing to let Sierra use their name, but I really doubt that an actual SWAT team would ever enter situations like these armed with only non-lethal weapons. Plus, it's boring to use the same weapons over and over and removes the equipment selection for being part of the game's tactics. I find myself winning each mission with ~85-90 points, perfect arrest score, and 1-2 of my guys incapacitated. Just seems...wrong somehow, that all the criminals come out unscathed and half your team is shot up, but you still get a pat on the back.
Or do I just suck at the game and everyone else is able to still beat it on Hard using a loadout of M4's, MP5's, etc.?
