Okay, I give you that. BUT! How about Treyarch getting their shit straight instead of relying on GPU manufacturers fixing their game?

Man, it's a damn shame how Treyarch is suddenly (but not surprisingly) manhandling the PC crowd.
They did a pretty good job with WAW and I secretly hoped we won't see the MW2 valley of shit with BO... I guess I really should give up any hope for Games where Activision is involved.

Someone please tell Activision that both Modern Warfare and MW2 were hacked via save files on both the 360 and PS3 long before Sony's keys were made public.

And still ... their game is the most popular, the most played, and pirated game the world ever seen. Only Avatar can measure the size of the millions that Call of Duty franchize erns with every singel year, so CoD now is way out of the game category.

You guys don't even know the best thing about Activision already.

Some modders made a somewhat MMO like Mod for Starcraft2. They called it "World of Starcraft" as working title (which they're happy to change). Guess what happened... Activision craps all over them with threats of sueing and such. Yes, Activision, not Blizzard. Blizzard still didn't give a statement about this but it's already becoming a thriller of epic proportions. So I guess the SC2 editor is only for decorations purpose.

Hmm, where the f*ck are mod tools they promised us?
It seems they know that once they release it, community will make new free maps and they wont be able to charge money for their maps.

Mod tools Laughing

There's the DLC coming on February, it's Xbox esclusive and will probably contain 4-5 new maps. But don't worry, PC gamers will have it as well some months later at 15-20€.

Didn't Blizzard do the same with the Starcraft assets in Warcraft 3 graphics mod some years back? What's the difference?

I would take morons who make cheats to court too actually.

Difference is that it's "Activision" who threatens them.

Yes, because they are the dominant party now. A few years back, it was Blizzard who sent the cease and desist orders. But I forgot, you are on the fanboy side of Blizzard now. StarCraft 2 is saving PC gaming, you said. Suing people because they cheat achievements, totally acceptable. Seriously? Laughing

Actually I meant that it's quite laughable that It is Activision who did it and Blizz is silent.
Blizz is whining like a wee baby at Valve for making DotA2 and stealing the DotA concept from their precious community. But here they're kicking the modders in the nuts. Go figure.
No positivity meant for Blizzard or Activision.

And SC2 did sell extremely well and the playerbase is huge, isn't it? But saved PC gaming? No, sadly it didn't. At least not in a recognizable way.

And No, suing people for something minor like achievement cheating is not acceptable. But for something like maphacks, it is imho.

Well it was sure to sell well, but for the wrong reasons. Instead of taking the genre forward, it did a heavy stomp in the past with nothing new to offer. Going forward doesn't mean dumbing a game down, it can move in the right forward as well. That is why I cringe when SC2 is put as the poster title of PC gaming.
