Singing is only a musical component, and for the most part of the history of music, it has been a rather minor one, music has always been majorly defined by it's instrumentation, and that is what real music is about, complex harmonic phrases that transpire any sort of emotion to it's listeners.
When you have singing as the primary component in music, you're not only suppressing the true nature and meaning of musical melody, but also closing the door for personal interpretation of a given song, having someone singing and telling you vocally what is ought to be delivered via a instrumental melody is one of the key factors why listeners are growing increasingly dumb and stupid.

I will never understand how people can think that's even music, let alone the fact they think it's awesome. It fucking annoys me when people don't understand the true art that the dark subgenres of metal is and keeps bashing that music. If you don't like that you can always listen to other genres of music, but bashing it it's really wrong. Folk music is something great too, what Ronhrin posted in his latest post is amazing too, but what you posted is shit, not music.
