@Ragedoctor: It's not a typo, there's actually a lot of material inside catalogued with "org", but I guess that you don't really want to know more about that

You can as of lately with nvidia, using 0x004030C0 bits. I've tried it and it looks spectacular although it comes with a big performance hit.
As Dead Space was one of the most aliased games in recent years, forcing proper AA makes it looks pretty amazing (the included blur filter did a bad job by not blurring nearly enough edges while destroying the visuals).
Here are some screenshots:

The hack should work for Dead Space 2 as well (in theory at least).

MLAA should work for AMD.. but I don't know how good it looks. On the plus side it shouldn't drop the framerate as much as nvidia's hack..

Seeing how well the first game ran on hardware across the board, I doubt that's a concern for most people (for the ones that it is, they don't turn AA on at any rate).
BTW, when is the nV implementation of MLAA coming?

you really need to bump the motherfucking thread with that AA crap when everybody is waiting for a release, right?

Use a predb if you only care about that.

I think someone asked nvidia (via their customer support service or something like that) and they replied that currently there are no plans for MLAA.
Driver forced Ambient Occlusion works too, but it further drops the framerate. It's been close to 2 years since nvidia included this feature to their drivers and it doesn't look like AMD will do the same.

I remember ATi having removed AA support in 10.11 CAP4, not sure why. If it was removed due to some issue, iยดm sure it can be enabled somehow.

Well MLAA looks a lot more important to me than AO, which makes things have ugly halos.
But looking at HardOCP's MLAA review, it does introduce quite a performance hit, comparable to 6xMSAA or even 8xMSAA in some cases, so not as impressive as once thought, and quality is good at some places and poor in others (fine detail with not as hard edges - but still visible to the human eye).
The only advantage I see right now is ability to use with deferred shading. I don't see why nVidia doesn't include it. Having it run on CUDA would even be better for performance than AMD.

@iNatan:
As you said there's not much of an advantage right now so I don't think it's one of their priorities. AMD had other experimental AA methods in the past, like temporal AA or narrow and wide tent MSAA.. I think they have recently removed all of them (I know for sure that narrow and wide have been removed) as they were very unpopular (due to questionable image quality..).
(nvidia had quincunx in early 00's but dropped it soon after hardware became fast enough that nobody would use it, however it can still be enabled via third party tools like nhancer and nvidia inspector even on their latest cards)
I get the impression that AMD's MLAA implementation was "added in the last minute" mainly because they still haven't managed to match the performance of their competitor in tessellation heavy applications and they needed to present something that they did better than nvidia.
Which reminds me.. remember how just before the launch of their latest cards they screamed that nobody should use HAWX 2's benchmark as it uses too complex tessellation and thus would favor nvidia? They said they were going to release a driver shortly that would lower the amount of (unnecessary) tessellation to get better results. Well where is this driver? It's been months since they said that and they haven't released it yet, they didn't even speak again about it until now (read bellow for the note) they just wanted to make sure that no reviewer writes that their new cards are still weak in this area.
Note: Just a few days ago they announced that they will incorporate to their drivers the ability to lower the tessellation amount in a game to get better framerates because it's too much for their cards

"AMD Optimized" = 0.000001% amount of tessellation for double the performance hit of regular on nV
AMd has been saying similar stuff for ages now. And they always promise "the next driver will feature heavy performance updates" and then come next month, "the next driver will feature heavy ..." and then come next month, ...
