i lost all progress because of skidrow is not save compatible, so if anyone outhere has any save file using skidrows please page me ill be most thankfully  out.

Just downloaded it and applied the new cracked patches.
Game runs fine, but all three campaigns CTD after the first few objectives.
Doesn't matter if i restart the game it always ctd's on the same points.
On the human campaign i ctd when entering the elevator in the club.
The pred ctd just after i use the retinal scanner with the disembodied head.
And the alien campaign right after i free the queen.
Whats up with that?

I REALLY, really hope that this time the CRIMINAL stuttering that makes for me (and many others - checked forums) the game unplayable, will be fixed.

Sorry for bumping this really old topic, but I'm just installing it's repack version after a long time now. I just wanted to know if I should apply any of the patches released by SKIDROW? Are they really necessary? I had fixed the stuttering issue by reducing the texture detail to normal. Do the latest patches help in any additional way or just fixing multiplayer crap?

This game was so bad jeez what great series ruined.

I really enjoyed it.
Nowhere near what AvP2 was.. But this game was still good.
That said, I would have been far more satisfied if they simply took AvP2 and gave it the graphics in this game. AvP2 is my favorite multiplayer FPS of all time, and the singleplayer was awesome as well.

Preferred AvP 2010 to AvP 2 as well, I was never a fan of AvP 2's comic book visuals. Not to mention playing as either the Pred or Alien in campaign was a chore.

I can explain. It's mainly becausfe of the horrible MP part. The campaigns were great in my oppinion. Most bitching really comes from the MP part and mostly being frustrated because of it.
It has the most horribly derpified MP I've ever played. It's poorly executed, full of bugs, a shitty netcode, stupid quicktime-esque melee system... it's just pure crap.
I nearly forgot about this piece of trash until you guys warmed this topic up again. I had a horrible time to be able to buy it here in Germany, really really horrible, all this shit only to figure out that the part which got me excited the most, is the stinking turd that came with the box. Also, no Lan-Mode... especially with that they fooled many people.
So what do we have here? The best visuals we've ever seen in an Alien/Pred themed game, three cool SP campaigns and a stinker of an MP. I know it's not the first time this happened with somes games, but I was going through so much trouble with this garbage... gnaah... I need to cool down ^^

Aye, I don't disagree whatsoever. I was in the beta for the MP and, to be honest, I hated it. That was one hell of a clunky beta and it was more infuriating than enjoyable, so much so that even though I own the legit game; I still haven't even considered playing the MP >_>

It would seem Monolith can't create good sequels, or their original games are just way too awesome.
Blood > Blood 2
NOLF > NOLF 2 (also, haha, Contract J.A.C.K.)
FEAR > FEAR 2
Don't know about Condemned, I've only played the first game and I don't care much for it.

Aside from the.... uhhh.... "bizarre" story in Condemned 2, the game itself is actually pretty damned good. It felt much better than the first one, though the first game had a far greater plot.
As for AvP-2010; I'm playing it again now - finally got around to playing the Predator campaign - and yeah, it was awesome. I'm not overly keen on the "jump here, n00b!" indicator - but at least it's not as clunky as the "hold crouch then press jump to super jump!!!!111" like it was in AvP2. The pacing was great and you actually FELT like a hunter. Story was blegh though, just like the other two campaigns, but the gameplay was fun.

Have you updated the game? The option to disable motion blur is in the Video Options menu... right above vsync and below ambient occlusion.

Even way back on the Jaguar version the Pred campaign was my least favourite - with it being the order of; Alien, Marine, Pred. The same order stayed with the two PC versions too. I'm definitely going to play the Pred campaign though, since I'm considering a total playthrough again soon.
. That was actually the most annoying thing for me in this new AvP, the stupid jump system for the predator. It was much better in AvP2, I really don't see how was that clunky. I agree this new one was a fun experience but nothing great really.
worthy - but honestly? I do prefer it to AvP2's one.
