kinda typical isnt it... the one time you poke your head out to actually pay for a product, you get shafted... happens to me 70% of the time, and it only makes me more bitter about paying for shit.
out of curiosity, did u pay full normal price, or did you get it at a heavily discounted price?

Yes regularly. They did the same shit with Starcraft2 normal editions - instead of the paper bag with art that used to envelop the plastic dvd box, they just shipped the plastic box with translated covers..
But the problem is not only this reseller, all Bulgarian resellers got the same package. So after 1 week they put a separate eu copy that you could exchange your regional copy with.
So the problem is actually in the importer/supplier for the country.

I'm guessing if I buy the key I have to download it all again? I can't use the clone dvd (the p2p one, the rip with no proper install) right?

Should function just fine, if the decryption works for your country (25th US, 27th/28th EU depending on time zone.) and if not grab the exe I uploaded earlier, then at start enter the serial number and the game should activate and be ready to play.
(There's no disc check or likewise used.)
Finished it at about 10 hours in total (Some of the 10+ chapters were a bit tiny.), did some tests on hardcore but restarted with new game+ on zealot (hardcore not available in NG+ for some reason.) instead, you'll get some extra armor as you play this way though it felt they're all basically variants of the existing ones but with better stats and minor visual cahnges so just use the one which you prefer best depending on what extras it grants, took a break for now but apparently new weapons might also be available later on via previously locked doors and passages.
(Not all doors and passages will unlock trough the game and there is some backtracking but overall exploration and the station sections were handled very nicely, ending was also OK though it'll be interesting to see how it goes in a potential sequel.)
EDIT: Nice weapon variety (Though some will likely be less used like say the flamethrower whereas others like the pulse rifle and scope rifle will be highly preferred along with the trusty plasma gun and line layer.) and enemy balance and variety is also planned out nicely as well, AI is improved quite a bit so behavior is overall much better with enemies acting somewhat intelligent and different.
(Smaller ones tend to stick to shadows and rely on speed or surprise, larger ones tend to scream loudly and charge at you though some prefer stealthy but quick charges and as the game progresses newer dangers are introduced gradually like my favorite the screaming annoying raging child thing, including a particularly tough annoyance late in the game though they're all a bit problematic once they get close or jump at you since you have very little health on this difficulty though so do the enemies making things a bit realistic and more fair, heh.)

The first game was such a pleasant surprise so I'm glad to hear they didn't fuck it up.

Believable and relatable...Yep, sounds like Call of Duty

Got mine from:-
http://www.onlinekeystore.com/
You'll need the exe file posted earlier though because according to the EA Dead Space forums the unlock servers are running on US time so we have to wait for it to be the 28th in the US first. |
I got mine from that store too, bought it yesterday, unlocked the game yesterday too via EADM, also played a few hours. I didn't need the exe file at all, it went past the release check just fine, I'm in Sweden. Didn't have to wait until the 28th at all. |
So you can download clone version and buy a cd-key online for less money than the online game, and everything works ?

If you buy a key you don't even need the clone - just use EA download manager - it's virtually the same as buying the online version.

No need to be upset people.. It's just that...
Bulletstorm
Crysis 2
Mass Effect 3
...the future of the pirated copies of these games depends on DS2 being cracked. How do you feel now?
