I'm wondering. What do you people think about the cracker's background knowledge. Are they self taught programmers that likes a challenge? Or maybe something else?
Another thing I always wondered about, was if these cracking groups consist of many people or just a lone Genius that likes to stick it to the man...

I think it's time to realize that the times of pre-releases of cracked PC games are over. Heck, the times of releasing cracked games on thei official street dates are over. Some games still appear on time but in most cases the wait is a bit longer. Deal with it.

Erm - not bothered at all... As menetioned earlier in this thread - preordered Bulletstorm along with DS2 for more than 50% off and if I decide I want either of the other 2 titles you mention I'll buy them as well if they don't get cracked. However, I'm happy to wait for any titles to either get cracked or drop down to a more tempting price. It's not about having any cracked game on the day of release. It's about waiting and seeing what happens and I have shitloads of games I bought at the right price ...as well as some that were cracked early and late, and not enough time to play them all - For me it doesn't get any better than having way too many good games and if I didn't have DS2 right now I'd not be missing it.... But I do and it fuckin' rocks hehe

On their nfos they insist they're doing it for fun and for the competition between sceners. Nothing to do with "sticking it to the man" or proving a point or whatever. They even suggest that you buy the games if you like them and they make no exceptions on the games they crack.. from indie games to AAA blockbusters.. from 5$ games to 60$ ones.. from PC exclusives to multiplatform games.. to ports being released on the PC 2 years later.. it's all good.

I know, since I have been Pirating since the early 90's. But sometimes I can't help questioning their motives.
I mean, I believe that they are doing these cracks for the challenge (thinking of Skidrow's AC2 Nfo), but why on earth do they keep leaking working cracks to people like us who don't know them personally? They have frequently stated in the Nfo's that they have no love for people like you and me.
To get recognition from the whole world?
I know, it's most likely not the crackers themselves that always leak their stuff, but they must know that some of their "friends" are leaking all their work, in a very systematic way.
