I"m also having an issue with this puzzle, but of a different nature. Everything worked great in the game so far, but with this puzzle, as soon as I shape the lock pick and try to insert it by clicking on one of the bolts, everything slows down and it barely moves, I have to alt-tab to windows for it to go anywhere and alt-tab back into the game.

Anyone else having this issue? Is it because of the crack? Up to this point, there were absolutely no issues in the game.

This was really good. It's great to see the classic adventure genre produce something in this era. About the ending though...

Btw, any way to unlock all those pictures and minigames without going through the game again?

Woah, sweet. I wasn't actually expecting one. And we seem to be able to play as Darren too. Glad to know we won't be left hanging, with that evil cliffhanger ending Smile

thread resurrection time... original wrote this off, but im kinda in the mood for an interesting plot type game... so is this worth picking up? is the plot and gameplay enjoyable? or would it be another transformers sized letdown :/ also do i need to have played the first one, or can i just jump into this one.

also does the game use rational logic or magic developer logic for the puzzles? is it a frustrating game, or an enjoyable worthwhile one, and does it stay interesting (or get better) all the way through, or does it become dull and repetitive.

You can jump right in, a lot of stuff from the previous title is explained though not everything, it is a bit short though it depends on how you play it, some sections are a bit timed and can be somewhat frustrating but there are many autosave/checkpoint areas.

Puzzles depend on difficulty used, at low a solution button will appear after ten or so attempts.
(Solution to puzzles and the story is OK and it's rather logical, somewhat darker themed like in the first game.)

Yeah I jumped right in and didn't really feel lost at all. Though I might want to go back and play the first game now that I think of it...

Puzzles for me, for the most part could be figured out logically, but the diary gives you hints if you are stuck. It can get frustrating (I can think of a certain mansion) but only in the sense some areas have so much to do in order to complete. I finished it in about two sittings so maybe that was fatigue on my part. In any case it never held a "fuck this game" level of annoyance. Really interesting plot I thought, and don't let the main guy bug you too much at the start. He grows on you.

You don't necessarily need to have played the first one, but IMHO the first is MUCH better than the second in every aspect, so if you have to choose I'd recommend playing the first one: better story, better atmosphere, better music and better art.

As for now, there aren't any specific dates. It's only known that it's getting released in German-speaking regions in February, and for the rest of the world in March.
