Yeah, the jap cover follows the art directon of the game. I dunno what they were trying to do with the american one, Chun Li & Morrigan looks nothing like the originals and Spiderman & Hulk are just lame...

I'll mostly likely be picking up the PS3 version, simply due to the absolutely GODLY d-pad on the PS3 controller, compared to the ghastly hell of the 360's version Very Happy

...... that's if I even bother at all. I am NOT amused with the decision to use the pathetic control scheme that was used in Tatsunoko vs Capcom. Three-button combat (light, medium, hard... alternating between punch and kick in a context-sensitive situation) is just wrong.

Umm... why would a new controller fix the software design of only having three context-sensitive attack buttons? Doh! Wait.. you mean about the PS3>X360 controller choice.... lol. Sorry, only just woke up and feeling a bit dense Very Happy

i thought it'd have sf4 control scheme. tvc was cool on the wii, fun, easy and hectic at times.

So for the ones who have tested it/about to test it, does it force the January dashboard update?

Thank god I decided to wait then Very Happy I'll be patient a few days longer and grab the PS3 version instead... that way I won't have to waste a disk on a game I may not enjoy (or £50 >_>) and can have - IMO - better controls.

Thanks Shawn!

Sadly it's our neighbours that have the blistering net.... Sweden's infrastructure is absolutely godly. Norway's is pretty damned good, I pay the equivalent of £20 a month for 25/5, but the price of FIOS is absolutely insane! £70+ for a 60/10 line.

-edit-

Also, it turns out that the current MvC3 leak is just HDD-ripped data -- not an actual DVD-rip -- so it's only playable on JTAG machines at the moment. The "ISO" isn't proper size and is missing the padding and other disk-specific stuff.

That's not true, i've just patched the iso to wave3 (so i can use it on my firmware) and it worked. Obviously i dont have a jtag console.
