First I wanted to post something aggressive, then I stopped myself and wanted to post something constructive, then again I felt like this wasnt the answer. Then I read the comments on the youtube video, I then realised those comments say enough about the average viewer.

And you finally settled and gave a comment corresponding to "the average youtube viewer"
I often wonder why is it so hard for people to give a direct answer/comment to the subject being discussed.

That is quite common here: screening a post -> make assumptions -> criticise the OP
On the other hand if the messenger brings the same message ten times, he/she should have been crucified the first time.

Even when the message is the truth that everybody refuses to discuss because for them, it's just another religion.

I wasn't joking though. If hyperinflation hits, wouldn't it be good to have massive debts but loads of material goods? The value of the debt would plummet, while material goods could only increase in value.

The problem with it is that the State will find legitimacy to take all your property under the pretext that it isn't really yours, and that is what's going to happen.
The best solution is to get out of debt, and prepare to trade silver or gold when the economy collapses.
For one, the people on that video are correct about almost everything, expect the fact that the economy will not collapse AT LEAST within the next 5-10 years.
All this bailouts will produce a temporary economic growth that should be "sustainable" until the 2020's.
After which, when the price of Oil begins to fluctuate above any plausible affordability, by then, we will enter a much deeper recession, which in turn will be solved with more bailouts, and it will be those bailouts which will completely crash the economy.
Right now we still have enough Oil to produce a temporary economic growth that lasts up until a decade, but by the 2020's when Oil begins to really become scarce, any growth in the economy will be short lived, perhaps ranging from a few weeks to a couple of months, and when the economy crashes then, everything will literally stop.
This is not a matter of opinion or any conspiracy theory trying to scare people off, this is the cold hard truth based on all the relevant facts behind our global economy and it's dependence of Oil to survive.
So the best advise anyone can give you is to completely get out of debt, sell all your uneccessary stuff that will lose value rapidly, begin purchasing gold and silver, when the economy collapses the gold that you purchase now, will be 10 - 50 times more valuable then.

Hmm If you really want to prepare well for a complete economic collapse best have some acres to grow your own food, you can't eat gold or silver.
You are absolutely correct about this, I was merely informing helvete that the most stupid thing that he can do is to enter in debt, when the economy collapses, he will literally lose everything!
About gold and silver, they will become the relevant units of trade when it happens.
That's why having gold and silver will allow you to continue doing business, by then, you can have a case full of 500 Euros notes, they will be less valuable than 1 gram of gold.
Obviously nobody can predict the future, but I'm fairly confident that, considering the inevitability of a worldwide collapse (due to Oil as previously discussed), it shouldn't happen before 2020, of course I can be wrong and happen 2 years from now, the economy is unpredictable in this regard, but all the relevant signals seem to indicate that the economy will have a steady growth until the end of the decade, and the next recession should happen between 2020 - 2025, a point in which, any attempt in bailing out the financial hole will result in an almost immediate collapse of the global economy.

Just what the world needs, another doomsday prophet..
I really hate when people address this situation by such definition, because this surely has nothing to do with prophecy, myth or anything of the sort.
It is mathematically impossible for this economic system to survive on a planet with limited resources, specially when the largest majority of the economy is directly dependent on Oil and there is nothing in existence which can feel that void in the upcoming years, in this situation the prophets are the ones empowering this system, with a blind faith that somehow we will find an alternative within the next decades.
This is absurd, this current economic recession that we're in right now has been predicted decades ago, and the same goes for the next one, the only difference is that the next one will not have any possible recovery under the current paradigm of fiat money and Oil consumption.

You know, I would get into this conversation, but yet, I believe our views are too strongly different, but. I do believe that Hemp/Marijuana, could easily fill the "void" of oil.

I don't have any views, I base my conclusions strictly on facts, if someone proves me I'm wrong in my logical argument, I will be the first to renounce my old ideas.

Your ideas are not "old", nor are they wrong. An economic collapse is happening right now, I do agree with that, and if anybody disagrees, I want to know why, and how, as every country, and state keeps borrowing and is in debt.
But what I am saying is, hemp is stronger then steel.
Hemp has a wide variety of uses, and can be easily cultivated.
Plastic, Pencils, Paper, Steel, Energy, Food, Clothes, Shampoo, Soap, even petrol. and more.

I might be wrong, but as far as I know the amount of Hemp that can be used right now would last less then a week on the US alone, it would be impossible to satisfy less than 1% of the demand for oil with Hemp, I saw someone mentioning Hemp before on an article, and it was mentioned that we would need to have the entire land surface of the planet cultivated with Hemp, for it to last 6 months in the global economy (when compared with the current demand for oil), it was only an article, I have no way of knowing is veracity, but it makes sense what was mentioned in it.
Care to give a little more insight on why you say Hemp would be a viable alternative?

Oh c'mon dude. How much more can you go on with this whole thing.
It was nice reading the first time. But now, it's just annoying.
You say something "true" about something -> I post that I know it and I'm fine with that -> you say I'm stupid for keeping my nose out of it-> trolling.

It seems good to make fun of the situation now, when the economy collapses and people cannot even afford something as fundamental as water, I really want to see anyone trolling about this subject...

Why gold? 'Cause it has always been safe? right...
And if you keep your gold at the bank (to be able to sell it later, because if you take it home it loses much of its value), is that safe in a world economic collapse?
In Ronhrin's defence there are a lot of very worrisome events on the horizon. We are going to reach Peak Oil or we may already have passed it. There are strategic reserves so we can last some months longer but at some point the industrial world will have to adapt to something else. Well natural gas is partially an option and we will not run out of that soon. The booming economies of China, India, Brazil and others will only accelerate the things to come. Trying to find some real answers on these subjects (and possible solutions) seems almost impossible and sorry Ronhrin but the guys in your video really don't seem the most informed and reliable types.

No they're not, but they're very good at addressing the facts in a superficial manner, I can spot at least 10 logical fallacies in their arguments, but still, they're very good communicators in their own way.

You have to admit though, you do come across as an egotistical ass. Besides, world history doesn't support your theory. Yes, it's possible, but still highly improbable. I could also make the claim that every baby born for the next 30 years will have 3 heads because aliens are going to raid the earth and, sadly, that statement has as much basis for truth as your does. I respect your opinion, but for crap sake, it's NOT fact just because you believe it to be.

Egotistical? How has Ronhrin displayed any egotistical traits? Please do explain! And before you do.. look it up in a dictionary.
You must be some banned ex-member to come here and act like a cunt before you've even hit 100 posts. It usually takes longer than that.
And what do you mean "world history doesn't support your theory"? Civilizations haven't collapsed before? Hyperinflation hasn't happened before? Please elaborate. Oh wait, you can't because you're talking out of your ass. Again.
