seriously i want him to install afterburner cos i doubt hes using over 1gb

It'll be interesting to see, but considering that memory usage goes up pretty linearly with the number of MSAA samples used, it'll be close. Can't be bothered to look it up exactly, and it also differs from frame to frame, but just the fact that he's got 1.6 million more pixels + AA samples to store, it'll be a pretty big difference. To give you an idea how big that difference is, you'd need to set your resolution to 800x600 to get roughly the same effect Razz

Try lowering it to 800x600 with 4xMSAA or 8xMSAA, see how much memory it consumes then and we'll have an idea of what the difference will be for him (not entirely though, as there's other stuff stored in VRAM as well)

Note: 32xMSAA isn't *actually* 32xMSAA, on NVIDIA that's 8xMSAA samples + 24xCSAA samples, so memory goes up differently with those settings Smile

I love all the tech-babble, it makes me feel all warm and geeky but I have to ask, why bother? You can't polish a turd. Well Mythbusters says you can, but even so it's still a turd.

i just saw on the official tdu2 faq it says

Quote:
# Version Discrepencies - This is working as designed for the moment. Depending on where and how you get the game, you will be provided with a different version number. While the version numbers differ, the game is identical. Future patches should bring all games to a unified version number.
# The build title contains "QA" and "Review" - Known issue. Future versions should no longer contain the inaccurate label of "QA," b

lol so everyone has different game versions depending on where it was bought from Rolling Eyes

and it will either say QA or review Rolling Eyes

talk about epic fail

It confused me as well, odd design decision or what they did, seems it's in TestDrive2.exe (Properties window, version data.) whereas it should have used the version number and not the build version comment.
(Version number being something like 0.1.5.1 and the comment Q&A Build 69 or similar.)

I use it and no problem so far. Even the frame rate seems fine.

Cut the whining, the game is -a bit arcadish but- fun so far, some nice roads and memories while roaming Ibiza, etc. Smile

So what were your preferred cars (overall performance, don't care of the brand or price) for each categories' championships? Ty.

After the Lancia delta (C4) and the Alpha romeo brera (A7) I am considering -while stacking up money for that 6 places loft at 385.000- the Subaru for the A6 and some Land rover for the B4.

i have all 4. Subaru is a beast. Incredible acceleration, and awesome sound. As for rover, its classy, and handles realy well. Go for them Wink

Don't know if was asked before, but: weather doesn't work offline?

Day/Night cycle is working but there is no rain (I saw rain in one of the licence tests, but it was just for that test)

Angry much?

Papipoule : sérieusement, je joue jamais mes jeux en français, les traduction sont tout le temps à chier. Joue dans la langue originale c'est beaucoup mieu. Même chose pour les films.

Why don't you download it and see for yourself, instead of spamming the same question? Or better yet; buy the game from a local store. It'll definitely be French then.

Whining? It's BROKE. Won't recognize my wheel and after spending 10 minutes manually configuring it, I have to turn through 45 degrees just to get the car to even respond. And I have tweaked the advanced settings to no avail. This, on release, for a fucking DRIVING GAME, is unforgivable.
