well im not a massive fan of KOTOR so im hoping its not to much like that game but i do like rpg's but just struggled to get into KOTOR and in the end gave up, but that said im going to give jade empire a damn good go and hope its up my ally
As for framerate, the 360 version runs smooth, while the PS3 is a jaggy mess that chugs along in slow motion.

8.4? |
You know why?
It's Greg Kasavin, the same fucking guy who gave splinter cell: chaos theory 8.6. I "used" to like gs but now....
Most sites have praised Chaos theory and Jade Empire, but not this reviewer Gay Kasavin
Most peeps says his a ps2 fan, look at this profile and you'll see why...
GS probably lost a few members when that guy reviewed jade and chaos theory...
Some quotes from the gs review by gay kasaVin
"However, Jade Empire's combat system isn't that great. It can be pretty fun, especially if you go out of your way to introduce more variety than you really need to survive, but it ultimately feels hollow. At least the controls are responsive, letting you easily maneuver around the battlefield, lock on to any of the foes you're facing, and execute quick flips and rolls either to close the distance between you and your opponent or to make a hasty retreat."
"There's not a lot to each style, though. You can execute a basic attack combo by mashing on the A button, you can perform a slow-but-unblockable attack by pressing X, and you can pull off an area-effect attack to sweep nearby enemies off their feet by pushing both those buttons at the same time. That's it. There are no throws, no counter moves, no high-flying wire fu, or any of that cool stuff. So, in practice, most battles work like this: You get close to an enemy and start pushing A. When the enemy blocks (which isn't often), you press X. If the enemy attacks, you vault over him with button B...and repeat as necessary. This same strategy works on literally every enemy in the game, from the least powerful to the most powerful. "
So basically what evryone was looking forward too is crappy? Combat in jade empire is really something we are all looking foward too. I expected a long series of combos etc etc. And Gay KasviN says it's not a good system, what should I say? Just pressing some buttons, was this game made of a 11 year old kid?
NOTE: I haven't played Jade Empire, but I sure as hell played splinter cell and his review is full of incorrect statements Sure nothing wrong with critic, but justified critic.

Man I'd fire that fucking guy if I were GS. Probably some old fart who keeps missing his Geritol supplements. It's one thing to overrate but he seems to consistently underrate games.

The combat looks great fun too.
What the GS guy doesn't seem to realise is that you have to swap styles and weapons mid battle and/or use different magic attacks/transformations or use the environment or get an ally to help etc etc.
Seems to me he's just played a little bit of the start of the game and not bothered so he hasn't really seen much of the combat.
Ah well, this hasn't changed my opinion.

The only thing keeping me from going crazy over jade empire is splinter cell:chaos theory.
It's a fantastic game, I only wish the story was more involving, LIKE JADE!
