I feel your pain, mate, I really do. Still.... you can use this scenario as ammo for when she moans that you're wasting money buying too many games!

That's all it really is. A generic, underwhelming FPS without the slightest variety. Only clichéd soldiers fighting some war in dull gray and brown urban locations. KZ3 is supposed to be a lot better in that regard. At least it has different environments (just like the first Killzone) so I hope it won't be as boring. Who knows maybe there will even be a story again.
Well I've been playing some Killzone 2 now that my PS3 is finally jailbroken and I just don't get what all the fuzz is about. It's all been very generic so far, I'm 3½ hours in. The controls are shitty (but I knew about that from before) but even if they weren't the actual game gives me nothing either.
It looks kind of good for the year it was released as well as it being a console game but that's about it for me. Maybe it gets better?
It stays at an average level. There is actually not a SINGLE moment of the game I can remember. So classic set pieces or anything... Just plain shooting. It's not a bad game, but they really didn't acheive anything outstanding.
What exactly was wrong with the controls in KZ 2 ? I remember playing it some time ago yet i don't recall having much trouble adjusting. Sure it wasn't a particularly memorable title , yet i thought the graphics were pretty kickass for a console game.

I wanted to try it out as well, but it doesn't work on 3.41.
Sorry mate, really, but I'm with everyone else; Why in the world would you still be on 3.41? 3.55-KMEAW is flawless, it has everything 3.41 does and more... because it doesn't need games to be EBOOT patched. All homebrew apps are now 3.5x signed, all games work, all updates work. Not to mention that it's a completely dongle-free method too. Hell, the only thing missing from prior to 3.5x is 3rd party controller support (ie; being able to plug in a standard PC USB joypad and use that)
