all settings on high give me a lot of lag when im running trough green areas or encounter lots of ennemies

my specs are here: http://specs.tweak.to/8499
especially with my 9800pro + artic cooler, i cant understand the level of lag im experiencing Sad (spelling?)

any suggestions?

Yeah it's probably your speed. If you want to play it with everything maxed out you need like 3 Ghz.

Does not need to be 3ghz but more exactly a 32bit AMD 3200+ cpu or a at least a P4 @ 2.7ghz. That would do the job. Have you tried with the Omega Ati drivers?

If I were you i will try to defragment your hard drive (despite you did the format). Sametimes it helps a lot, give it a try.

Even on my 3ghz P4 and X800PRO, there are times where the frame rate will drop to the very low 20's (Especially the Carrier / Volcano Levels).
Outside is mainly CPU bound, whilst indoors GPU dependant.
A better processor will boost your FPS quite a bit.
