I got another version of gaia that is working but all the same, so no luck i've been trying to get this work the whole evening now, could have actually done better and more fun things with my time, i guess this is the reason i barely play on my ps3 its just to time consuming to play a game. I hope that changes in the future.

What fw do you have?
But i know how you feel,I too got frustrated with the game. Very Happy

i use 3.41 with minimus dongle.

Is there a particular reason you are not using 3.55 KMEAW?
Would be a lot easier playing these games I imagine. Wink

@ grimmmy

What worked for me was FTPing the 22GB as it was, no split4G or extracting the PSARC... Those methods did not work. Used Multiman the first time, it asked to fix permission, I let it. Now it seems to be working both with Multiman 1.16 and Gaia 2.07.

Used this guide to FTP files over, didn't use a crossover cable as my Lan port is 1 Gibabit...

Dont use the latest MM use 1.15.05. I have this working from internal, took a bit of faffing but I have downsampled the movies and got it down to 9 gig. works absolutely fine now. MM did have to fix the permissions on the first run though.

Edit: Ah we posted at the same time, glad you have it working now.

As soon as someone tried the Duplex release please report if it has sound glitches or stuttering movies as well.

So in your opinion this is the final version of this game? I dont want to go through the effort of installing it to find out its not the final release..when the game loads, does it load in English because I have seen video of it appearing to show Russian at the beginning..So what do I do..just change the param to 3.41..then put in the different eboot and run in gaia manager? What is the working eboot for this game do you know..thanks

Thanks for the info. I Guess I will just have to look around for a working eboot file. I have seen a few but I dont know if they work for this game since those eboot files are for the EUR release. It is just weird to me that there are audio syncing issues with this game..game freezes well that happens sometimes, but the audio issues, I just thought that maybe this was not the final version but some pre release or something

Even reviewers mentioned that sound issues were quite common. Just buggy code probably, and not to blame for the releases being bad.

Oh Ok so the sound issues have nothing to do with this game being a pre release or anything..its just the way the game was made? I have the DUPLEX version Game ID BCES01007 do you know which 3.41 eboot file will work for this game, seen many online? THanks

Good to know that the Duplex release has the same issues. That means the non-scene releases are also final. Duplex probably repacked the 40+ gb release.

I've read there will be a patch on launch day, maybe it will fix these issues.

Yeah that's what Im thinking, that they repacked the other release and called it their own. Weird that the final release would have audio issues..why release a game that has sound problems..but I guess the patch will be released on launch day, so how will the rest of us be able to install that patch and fix the issues? Should I just wait til launch day to try this game? I dont want to go through the hassle of installing it just to find out I Have to remove it

You can also be helpful and upload the par's, small effort but great value.

Sadly it doesn't work that way, you have to have the exact source material otherwise the parity files will complain that they're from the wrong set and refuse to work.

Sigh, i'm getting so pissed off @ these amateurs uploading 22 gb with no single par.

well how long do you think it takes to create 10 % par2 files of 22 GB?

well sadly the pars didn't go that fast on my seedbox... it didn't like quickpar.

few hours after the upload I found multipar which also could create par3 files...

ALSO I had to make the parfiles because from r72 everything went haywire... it wasn't just r72 ... in r72 it was the 9 GB file which had some problem during the rarring

Ok guys the guy who uploaded the 22gb version to usenet messed up (obviously) and he is now uploading a repack with par's so toss your 22 gig downloads away. if i downloaded the 40 gig version it would make no difference except that i already could play the friggin game.

You can use the par files from the repack to fix the old release Smile but yeah he totaly messed up, stomme Hollander Very Happy

/rant

WTH was this?! I played through it on veteran in 5 and a half hours! I remember Killzone 2 being much longer and harder (that's what she said!). God damn it, i barely started to enjoy it and it suddenly ends?! ARGH! Hate this new age "short singleplayer...it's all in the multiplayer" crap!

Just finished now, no idea on how many hours though. It was alright though I think I prefer KZ2 to be honest. Some of the missions where you control vehicle guns were infuriating though.

7 or 8/10 for me.

Okay, installed this on my GF's brothers PS3 (120Gb Slim) via FTP and it works fine using kmeaw3.55cfw and Gaia 2.07.

Tried installing on mates PS3 (a 60Gb fat), also with kmeaws 3.55cfw and Gaia 2.07 (after uninstalling 2.04) and it shows up correctly, it's not showing as corrupt, Gaia Manager checks the files fine yet when he runs it he sees the Move intro screens and then it just goes to a black screen.

Now, the first time it was installed it was into the wrong folder, Gaia asked to fix the permissions and then it showed as corrupted. So it was deleted and sent over ftp again to the correct folder.

Is this what could be causing his black screen issue? Or is it possibly that his HDD only has 21Gb remaining?

Yea? Why would you be wary of a game update?
