Agreed, I didn't play the demo but this is awesome. The best part is trying to get the different kill "achievements" for extra cash. Pretty unique with the grapple hook + kicking mechanics.

yes, it's basically just dumb and fun. atmosphere? hell no. the gunplay isn't too shabby, guns have that nice solid feeling from gears of war...and yeah, you basically try to kill enemies in all sorts of ways to earn more SP.
bottom line: nice, solid FPS with good pacing, nice gfx, dumb story and you can fling enemies into all sorts of shit. 8/10

I don't know about all the firmware updates but I haven't updated in a while. I just use the activation disc and I can appear to play any game ok. Including black ops, fable 3 and I think I might have been on 1.6 or the one before that.
I have to put the activation DVD in first before playing a new game but it's pretty easy. I never go online.

This game really is excellent. It reminds me of why games like Duke Nukem, Turok and Serious Sam were such fun: Because gameplay was great, action was over the top and those games did not take them self too serious, but without being silly.
This is exactly what Bulletstorm is too. Controls are really smooth and tight, guns feel great, the graphics are colorful with lots of gore, the heroes one-liners often make me chuckle and there is always giant things exploding, attacking or chasing you.

Even past chapter 1? That would make you the only one then... since every single other report says the same thing; "disk ejected" at the end of chapter 1.
Though I did mention this the other day, nobody responded as to whether it worked for them or not;

I like to think they ripped the game and passed the master or whatever copy along to the next person or back to the owner and now they don't have access to it to rerip it.... One can hope anyway right!?!

I think this news about beta for Bulletstorm is bullshit!!!! The game is released this Tuesday in Canada.....a beta surfacing now seems unlikely....

I'm actually inclined to believe that it is a Beta. I've gotten a mirriad of bugs so far, and now the game won't load chapter 4, stage 2. -.- I've even restarted the entire chapter and the game still hangs on loading.

x360 games need to be signed to run (unless you have jtag), and since to sign the code you need to send it to Microsoft (and pay them I assume) I doubt anyone would bother to sign a beta... my guess is the game is just buggy.
Anyone else encountered the same problems? I wanted to start playing this, but if there are game-breaking bugs I guess I'll wait...
