That installer is a fake. Ubisoft does not require the serial when you install the game, only when you start Ubisoft Game Launcher.

Can anyone confirm or deny that this will require an internet connection to play or not? I checked a few "sys reqs" i.e. Steam page, and it does not have it listed. I believe earlier in this post someone mentioned that although Steam wasn't showing it, other places were?
I got this for super cheap on the console during a holiday sale but would definitely consider buying this on the PC if it didn't have that damn requirement. Thanks in advance.

I don't really get it, they cracked the DRM on the AC:2 so Ubisoft knows that it's pointless to put it again, but they still do it :\
The DRM on brotherhood (for the PC) will be cracked even faster than the last one, so why even bother Ubisoft?

It wasn't cracked technically, as I far as I know. You still need to go through all the triggers in the game to make the crack, and those differ from game to game, so it takes time. Or were there some other developments on that front?

On G2Play it says that the keys will be available on March 26th. Fuuuuuuuuuuu Ubisoft. I was going to buy it today, but after this new delay I will pirate it. Fuuuu Ubishit.
