dungeon crawl probably come closest, you either go alone or coop with up to 3 other players, beat loads of darkspores, and boss or mass darkspores at the end, get some loot, lvlup unlock new darkspores and stuff.. its fun but its get bit repetitive after a while

Short version;
First impression! Very good!
But after playing all the levels in the beta and toying around with the editor, all I really can say is; not impressed.
Longer version;
I have played all levels available in the beta + multiple pvp rounds (both single and co-op), and there is nothing that makes me wanna buy this later on.
Customization is weak. There is not much you can change on your characters, except for putting new details on it, and that was the only thing I found joy from in Spore. I get it, there will multiple (100?) different heroes available in the full game. But no, I want to make my own, not forced to play as some generic hero made by them.
Some spells are pretty fun, but again, I would like to choose myself what abilities my Heroes have.
I hope this is a possibility in the full game, full control over customization (Looks, spells etc)
The gameplay is OK, Hack N' slash -type with some weak rpg stats thrown in it. The "story" was nothing special (can't really comment, did skip some cutscenes..).
Pvp (1vs1,2vs2) was unbalanced as fuck it seemed, some spells where auto win vs certain hero setups, but I did not put much time into that part of the game. Was not enjoying it at all.
Also, the beta was too Easy. Guess thats just the beta difficulty though!
Squirrely: Now come on y'all. We can't waste time arguing. There could still be survivors out there. We need to hunt them down, and kill them.
Beary: How about we kill them, and then rape their bodies so we can use their blood as lubricant.

So i clocked in a couple of hours yesterday before i went to bed and i found it very enjoying. I missed the timeframe in where the beta was open so i had very little time to play it. The itemization is interesting. You could put a shoulderpad looking it as a crotch protection. If you had played Spore then you would know what i was talking about.When i thought the beginning was maybe too easy but when i continued my adventures it got harder which is good. It feels VERY diabloish. The story seems to be there but when i heard which DRM it is going to use then i smacked my head against the table. Didint EA learn from the mistakes Ubisoft did with Assassin Creed II DRM in which you had to be online CONSTANTLY! *sigh*
