Yeah it is best to wait for corporate version. Not worth to download any of the current releases. Corporate is what we are all waiting for and will share full speed when it comes out.

I have done some benchmarks comparing 32-bit SP2 version and 64-bit RC2 for AMD64 and the 64-bit version was up to 20% faster, even with only 32bit apps.
In average I would say it is about 10% faster. And we will see even more speedups when we get 64-bit apps optimized for AMD64 and even better drivers.
Slowly it will get to the performance boost that you get with Linux for AMD64. But it is easier and faster there since all the source code is available and you can optimize and recompile whenever and whatever you want. But since most of the apps are closed source on Windows and the compilers are not free it will take quite abit more time. To speed things up you have to e-mail authors of your favourite apps and ask them for AMD64 optimized 64-bit version.

I have a few questions about the echos *repack* and the corporate edition everyone seems to be waiting for.

If the activation crack of the Echos Repack does work, would we still need a 'valid' cd key to install Service Packs? Like with win XP I had to change my product key to a valid one after using a 'valid key gen' just to install the service packs, even though everything else worked fine with my first key.

What's the big dif between a corporate release and say the echos one that's out now? With a corporate release will we need 'valid' keys as well to install SP's?

-thx

Don`t bother to try any off these releases cause non are working.
The lamers from echos said that the repack works but forget it it also doesnt work.
I don`t think that they have out the date forward cause if you pass the 30 days the it is all over.I tested it in different ways and cracks but all useless.
I am just installing winxp sp2 again and also waiting for a proper release that is actualy working corporate would be the best.
Well i just msut wait a bit longer Wink

3.1 of that Activation Remover is out! User comments below.

Hehe...

I was sweatin it for a sec I didn't do the patch correctly the first time and was logged out of Windows X64. Then I did the manual install and what do you know... it booted up normally without that annoying windows needs to be activated.

Well i did a test run and forwarded to Sept reboot and to my surprise I booted into windows.! Yay Very Happy

So... my question is do I really need 3.1 patch? Anything else that needs to be patches, and now that Windows is activated doesnt come up if i click the exe, so I take it that your patch deactivates it.

Anyways thanks and keep up the great work!

Looks like its working for now!
