My own opinion/disbelief. Also the source being Google and how there hasn't been a SINGLE reputable gaming site stating what Amazon said in their pre-order letter. If it was true, if the game had been delayed another ten months to a year, it would be all over the gaming news. All the sites are talking about "possible delay due to SE financial troubles" and this was back in December. The Amazon letter is recent, so you'd think if it was true we'd know more about it.

Duh, I misunderstood then. I thought you were complaining that the game had been delayed.

Aye, that's what makes me think the Amazon stuff is bogus. SE/Eidos are really pushing the PR on this game lately, not to mention the recent comic release, so I strongly doubt it's been delayed like the rumours say.
The comic runs for 6 issues, and the DC site only lists up to the 4th issue, due in May.
Now, this might not be the case, but I think that *most* of the game based comics are released in it's entirety prior to the game's release.
Or I could be completely wrong.

Not necessarily. At least it wasn't the case with Mass Effect. The Redemption was launched between January and April while the game was in January.

..... I just want it nao, damn it!
I'm with you. I want it NOW. But Amazon isn't the only place with the December 31 release date. IGN has had that listed as the date for some time.
The only thing that's got me doubting the 31st as a release date is that it's a saturday. So I'm still holding onto hope that it's just a placeholder date.

Nah, the date "December 31st" is a placeholder date for retailers that haven't been given official notification. It was always the same, even back when I used to run a game store =)

It's only listed till May because solicitations for a particular month come 3 months before. So in the case of June, the solicitations will be available in the middle of this month.

A summary of interesting bits:
- Adam is like Denton in the respect that he often doesn't speak too much.
- Adam doesn't have monologues in-game, only the CGI trailer was made that way.
- There will be many references to DE1 aside from those that journalists have already spotted (like the 0451 code)
- The world looks more technological advanced than the world of DE1 because if, in 2011, we are already reading digital newspapers on our iPads it didn't make sense to the devs that in 2027 things like that wouldn't exist. Whether a "collapse" event happened to the Deus Ex world that would explain why DE1's world isn't that advanced looking, will be determined in "other episodes", whatever that means (she refused to further comment if that means in future sequels or what).
- We'll get to know more about Megan's character, and what was the history between Adam and her, but their (love) story isn't the focus of the game, as it didn't feel right they had to force the player love her.
Spoiler:
- After the intro mission she's dead..... but we never really see her die.....
- Adam, and the other characters, are not 100% good or 100% evil. You can kill everyone or noone and the game will reflect that.
- In DE1 and other games the hero is always the "chosen one", the special one. Adam being forced to augment his body to save his life and what not, is obviously not that kind of hero.
