That's exactly how Derp Age 2 plays on consoles. I sat there just hammering the X button and AWESOME STUFF WAS HAPPENING!! I was showing it to my wife and even she was face-palm'ing with disbelief. Oh well, another franchise down the shitter *golf clap*

You married man .. and still playing games , hats off.

Games are not only meant to be played by children or people around their twenties. Really hate when people embrace that absolute misconception. If you're 100 years old and feel like playing games, I don't see why it should be wrong.

Just to light a happy fire, Obsidian is in talks to acquire the IWD license, and make IWD3.

Am I the only one who thinks instant feedback in games is good?
Seems everyone here WANT to wait a couple of seconds after pushing buttons for an attack to actually happen.
If you don't want games to evolve, why are you constantly waiting for new games, "discussing" them here on nfohump?

Epically mature response.
Instant feedback in games is great, when you consider that old platform games had a feedback delay.
@Omnikyun
A lot of the people here are role-player or RPG fans, and we remember (or know of things) like casting times and turns. Iimmediate reponse is not what we want. A criticism I've read of DA:O was that people hated the mages just standing about for 10 seconds until a fireball went off. Thing is, that's good. It means fireball isn't an instant-win spell, and there's the possibility of interruptions, or your mage being killed before the spell was cast.

Some people say this game sucks now (version 2), but I think is better now, different opinions ftw.
I used to be a knee like you. Then I took an adventurer in the arrow.

If you don't agree with them you're a DERP 'tard apparently. Also, to the people who think DA:O was a hard game, you suck at gaming. Period.
First post FTW.

Is there a nfohump link on ign or something?
I don't think people hate this game. Even Sabin will surely end up playing it. It's just that we wanted a traditional rpg, much like DAO or even more traditonal, and they are giving us an arpg with manga combat and mass effect streamlining.

DA:O wasn't that hard IMO, but it IS twice the RPG that DA2 is.

DA: O was great for what it was supposed to be. Making a sequel different from what it was previously, doesn't make it better, makes it different.
Maybe Dragon Age 3 will be a First Person Mount Driver. Hey, it's better because it's my opinion.

Perhaps. I can't judge yet as i haven't played the sequel yet. But i hate to see people bashing others because they like the combat system in DA2. I honestly like it too and i'm thinking it'll be a bigger challenge on Nightmare difficulty compared to DA:O.

NOTHING, obsidian is nice but if you take new vegas for example its still FULL of BUGS even after all patches, so yeah... stfu scrub , go type 100 posts/day somewhere else and get a life

Well, there's a difference between someone who play games for 30y and someone who started gaming 5y ago, like it or not, the former is more knowledgeable and demanding about gaming, and you can see that in this forum, and that's why i love it.
Surely there's some trolling and elitism, but i prefer that to the stupidity and derpness that consumes all other places.

You measure the amount of bugs in a game against its being great? Way to go, dude. Do not forget that they had to take that crappy engine that Bethesda used for their equally buggy games Fallout 3 and Oblivion. Some people here even like the Gothic series, and those games were usually buggy as hell, too, for some even unplaybale.
I'd prefer a buggy DA2 that stays true to what DA:O began than a derp game with less bugs and less great gameplay at the same time.

Nice, hi-res textures aren't even in the game. There is going to be a day one patch for that. At least you won't have to pay for them. Or will you? |
Pay? I'm not even sure if
