Damn Bioware if they only care about consoles they should at least give the option to play the game using a gamepad on PC as well. Maybe if you take the game as a hack&slash and not a as classic RPG and play using a gamepad it feels ok and not like some kind of abomination.

Now you HAVE to be kidding me. A LOT of people have finished DA:O on Nightmare difficulty while soloing either the entire game or a large portion of it (my case). There were a lot of overpowered builds. You're talking about "strategizing" and icant 'help but think about my LOLchar that i finished NM with: a dw warrior with ALL attribute points into DEX (effectively becoming imune to melee).
I'm not even sure we've played the same game...

"Mike Laidlaw had such a good time with the last one, he's coming back for one more go.
This time he'll be playing The Exiled Prince DLC to give everyone a look at the Day 1 DLC available for Dragon Age 2. He's also going to be showing off the character creator and your first look at some of the promo items available in game (and anythign else that takes Mike's fancy). And of course, we'll be holding a question and answer session after the demoing is all done."

Troll more.
It DID look helluva harder on nightmare considering that those young dragons took half of the tanks hp with each hit, whereas on normal the healer could pick his nose.
