I use a 4890 ATI card yes, but it's backwards compatible (INI editing can enable most other settings.) up to DX10.1 although I can't use any DX11 exclusive functionality but as the screen and description show it's mostly that extra light pass and that specific filter for shadows (Similar to BC2 or Metro 2033 if I remember correctly.)

I wonder if my new GF560TI will run this smooth with the DX11 stuff enabled. I mean, while it's DX11 capable, it's not the most powerful of the bunch.

Depends on your resolution and other settings. You might have to turn AA down or off or something.

A bit lower than 30 FPS is the minimum I've seen (Special effects.), a little over 40 usually with upwards of 100 in cutscenes and such though that doesn't count of course.
2x AA 1680x1050, high settings with ini tweaks to enable all locked commands (still read as high by the game as my GPU lacks DX11 capabilities.) all else enabled (hi-res textures mostly, not a lot to adjust.)

Hm, will there be any way to improve graphics beyond Medium detail on XP and DX9 mode? INI file tweak or something?

How you earth can you even consider having difficulties running an almost-bad (well, let's call it average) looking game like DA2 on that uber powerful card?!

Here's the skinny. People need to start voting with their dollar. Everyone who complains needs to not buy the game. It's that simple. You know why the game producers pull this shit? How about... "Oh, we can write one game and not spend time making it good for both systems we release it on, but people will still buy it and it will get top 10 on gamespot and ign before it even comes out"
What happens when they "derp" DAII and the hardworking consumers all just say "I'm not having any of this- I want a good product!"? Let's find out. Fuck it, if you're not sure, then "test drive" the game and see. If you don't like it, vote with your dollar and don't buy it.
Preordering is the most brilliant psychological scam of the century. You get a bunch of people to spend money on something that doesn't exist, and then they rate it high just to avoid the cognitive dissonance that comes with the notion that you just spent 60-100 (think collectors editions) bucks on something that sucks.
I agree though, this streamlining consolifying bullshit needs to end.

The clonedvd works, I used the code from screenshot from the DA2-fairlight, then i used this page,

to set up VPN connection to hong kong server using this IP 125.32.195.11
activation works, high res textures do not work and I have 1gb video memory?? Used this release,
Dragon.Age.II.CloneDVD-iND
anyone any idea's how to activate the high res textures??
