Even with my extensive experience playing cRPGs, I'm finding impossible to win battles after some hours in the game in Nightmare mode. There're no tactics for constant respawning enemies when terrain doesn't stop archers from shooting you and the cooldown of your abilities take forever.

And on hard is too easy...

It takes longer to beat down regular enemies than in DA:O and bosses go down fast because of focus fire :/.

Already at the class choice screen I'm getting graphical artifacts leading to a ctd. This seem to happen only when running it in DX11. DX9 seems to run fine, but you can't choose High or Very High Detailed graphics then.. I want very high dammit! Help!!

Running with the new nvidia beta drivers (GTX460)

Is there any way to disable the stupid, overkill, retarded, ridiculous blood effect on your characters? I hated that in DA 1 and turned it off immediately.

JV and a couple of other euro gaming sites gave the game a 12/20 or between 2.5-3/5 stars.
Metacritic is starting to slid down with 5/10 for the console version and 7/10 for the PC.

Guys, I have a very simple question:

Does the Reloaded crack work with the CloneDVD flawlessly?

Thanks in advance.

It does (Haven't completed the game yet but it works fine).

So GAME STATS, did i miss it or am i blind? Is there no stats for highest dmg dealt, enemies slain, HOURS PLAYED, etc? Its a bit weird...i hope im not seeing it somewhere as it would be a shame if there is no such page somewhere in the game.

p.s
A few hours in, so far its better then i expected, been reading all the books and stuff, taking time, talking a lot etc...

There are several clonedvds. The multi7 one is like 6GBs. That's probably the one reloaded cracked. But it should work with any release as they all use the same protection

Yeah, I might not finish it either, I got bored of it pretty fast. Combat on nightmare is ... well, you have to play it as an action RPG. Manual dodge and all that. It's braindead combat, if you ask me: simply focus fire the mobs in order by ranking them using this simple formula : dps/hp. The higher that is, the sooner you have to focus fire them. Win. It's boring, not tactical in the least, and you have to spam your abilities all the time!

This is as great a fail as you could possibly achieve, and still stay somewhat of an RPG. BioWare completely fucked up the combat, imho.

The fact that there's already a mod is very hopeful, I think. I still haven't played it, but it might be one of those things like Oblivion - buy it now, and wait for the modding community to get it up to snuff. From the looks of it, it shouldn't take much to greatly improve it.

Edit: A friendly Fire option for Hard would seem the most obvious choice for a mod. And surely not that hard to do?

Told you guys, this game was not designed to be played on Nightmare (long skill cooldowns, TONS of enemies, better resistances, enemies shoting through rocks, no isometric view, the list goes on) . Shame that Hard has no friendly fire whatsoever, then it would be quite balanced, but there is no choice really, Normal is stupidly easy and Nightmare is broken in terms of this whole combat system.

You missed PC Gamer (for completeness' sake) - 94.

But, yeah, this is looking hopeful for the hardcore RPG crowd. Hopefully BW/EA will change their next RPG accordingly.

I like how I can do nothing about backstabbing assassins, which either tickle me on medium, or destroy me on hard/nightmare. At least in WoW ( lol ) I could pull a rogue out of stealth if I found'em.

Anyone with a GTX260 willing to try this out, see if it helps:

"Not sure if this will help anyone else, but I went from unplayable when
settings were maxed, to a good framerate by changing the following
settings in my nnvidia control panel (btw using latest beta driver and
have a GTX 460)

Antialiasing trans. to multisample
Max prerendered frames to 8

and most importantly, I changed the PhysX processing to CPU.
Like I said, this took me from unplayable to good, hope it helps others."

Uhm, I've got an GTX260 too (but an Core216 one to be precise) and have no freezes/hiccups at all. Got the 266.58 WHQL Driver. HD Pack installed and everything maxed +AA+AF what I'm able to.

Do you guys have the Core-216 one (216 unified shaders) or the older one?
