At 45 hours and 41 minutes, doing every single piece of content in the game, this ran about the same time as my playthrough of Origins.

"Bethesda Softworks community manager Nick Breckon said: “We can now confirm that the TES V: Skyrim engine is all-new. And it looks fantastic.” I asked him what “new” means in this case, and whether it was simply a new version of the Gamebryo engine that powered Oblivion and the recent Fallout games. He responded: “It’s a new graphics/gameplay engine built internally. We’ll have more details down the road.”"
Shot yourself in the foot there. |
It has the Gamebryo look, plus: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2010-08-16-todd-howard-working-on-two-new-games
Quote: | Howard wouldn't be drawn on many details about the game - thought to be a new Elder Scrolls title - but said the technology was derived from the engine that powered Fallout 3, albeit with significant modifications.
"Fallout 3 technically does a lot more than Oblivion. The new stuff is an even bigger jump from that," he said. "I can say it is on the existing platforms, which we're really happy with. You almost feel like you have a new console when you see the game." |
TWIN PEAKS is "something of a miracle."

On nightmare it is a must to abuse line of sight (running around corners to buy time for that damn 40s heal cooldown) and kiting all the melee mobs/lieutenants. Nothing tactical about this shit, but it is fun so far.
One time, I ran into an undeadmage lieutenant, 15 spiders, and 10 skeletons.... I mean wtf. Abusing line of sight a lot, and eventually, half of the mobs de-aggro'd. I then could pull the mobs one by one and finally defeated the undead mage lieutenant when he was all alone.
I find it hard to believe this part is possible without explouts on nightmare the first time you play this game.

Spoiler: | Clever use of line of sight was the only way i was able to defeat the Arishok in the Duel at the end of chapter 2 and the High Dragon on Chapter 3 (had my ranged characters hitting it while it stood at the top of the hill with no access to it, while i ran around the base of the same hill disteacting it.) |

Well either EA-BW is getting cranky at people for telling them the game sucks, and are deleting 'critical posts' or their servers are having some serious issue and making things disappear.
But there seems to be a few dozen threads that have recently disappeared, along with an ass load of posts.

yes of course, do what has been said in page 114 of this thread. In the config tool I had to activate the Repair option (running "run as adminsitrator" to do so). After that, I installed both DLC exe downloaded from some sites and then changed the xml file. At last, I verified the option "Downloadable Content" in the Main Menu (without loging in) and both DLC are indeed installed already. Voilà.
