Yea, he's in front of Chantry, not inside the building.

The game still runs like crap in Directx11. So much for the "unfinished code in the demo" excuse.
Bioware is getting lazy. This game doesn't look that good to be choking my system. It's a poorly optimized mess.

Interestingly enough, it runs fine on mine, and my work rig sucks ass(gaming rig blew a PSU yesterday).
E7200@3.16Ghz
4Gig DDR2
1x 5870
can't play anything on it these days without tweaking the settings, and yet, DA2 runs 1920*1080, DX11, very high settings, full AA etc. at 59fps.
Improved graphics my ass.

I sure would want to know how you do it, because I just bought an entire new computer and the game still runs at about 15-20 FPS on DX11 Very High. When I bring it down to High, it goes up to 30-40 but still it's not the kind of performance I should be getting.

So that leaves a weak level 3 mage and two level 3 fighters to fight the ogre with "over 9000!" HP and hordes of those darkspawn guys.
Had other things to do so I quit after that but having a hard time figuring out what a possible strategy is going to be for me to get by that encounter. I've got a few healing potions but the cooling off period for potions is stupid long. And they script-killed the one character that had healing. So it's three vs. the ogre and something like 15 of those other bastards. |
Hard time figuring out mate? The ogre's pretty slow and dumb, dodge him while he kills the darkspawn and then all you need is 2 members left, control the one with the agro and run around while the other member is hitting him .......

just finished it...
it was oooooookay, combat is definitely more compelling than it was in dragon age, but I was extremely disappointed in the lack of conversation with my followers and the fact that the whole story resides basically in one place as revisiting the same damn caves and area over and oooooooooover again got old sorta fast.
also pulling the sort of cliffhanger ending is sort of annoying too.

mmm
one high dragon in the third act
I fought another one in the bone pit in act 2 or was it 1? but it definitely wasn't a high dragon, oh and there's another one in the deep roads, but again, not a high one.

Good job. DA2 was made more "welcoming" because Bioware saw people quit DA1 after one hour. Can't wait to see how DA3 turns out with people quitting DA2 in minutes.
