Origins. In my first Origins playthrough (the one I imported into DA2), Zevran betrayed me in Denerim and was killed. In my second Origins playthrough I got his influence high enough that he stayed loyal at the same point, but in pretty much every subsequent playthrough I slashed the fucker's throat at the ambush site. So I gather I won't be seeing much of him in DA2.

Don't even make me mention the time she was playing cards with Isabela in the Hanged Man and she lost her elven amulet. The look on her face broke my heart.

Fully agree. I'm playing BG Trilogy (I played only BG1 ten years ago) and it's still a great gaming experience. BG aged very well, and I would instantly buy a BG3 even using the 10 year old Infinity engine. I'm looking back now to the old classics that for professional and family reasons I didn't had time to play it.
I'll play DA2, but not in the next couple of months. I'm sure if I was going to play it after finishing BGT I wouldn't be fair... or maybe I would.

Dragon Age II on short release to “capitalize on the success of Origins,” says composer

Quote:
“Unlike other titles from Bioware, this [score] was kind of a rush job,” Zur told IGN.

“EA really wanted to capitalize on the success of Origins, so the game was really being pushed hard to be released now.”

Origins released back in 2009.

The BioWare RPG sequel has seen decent reviews in the eights and nines, although Edge has given it a six. Meta score right now is at 83 on PS3 and 360, with the PC version at 84.

Having released in the US on Tuesday, the game launches in the UK today.

it's apparent that EA are the ones fucking up Bioware even the composer says that so stop bashing on Them and swear a EA

Damn the Qunari are even more awesome now, I love the new design. That Arishok is one mean bastard. Funny how every single character has great VA, EXCEPT the main character. I liked the silent one better. All dialogue is great, EXCEPT your character's. It's like they intentionally ruined teh main character. You can either be a gullible moron, an idiot trying to be funny or a total dick. There's no middle road.
I don't know how Bioware do it, by their VA is one of the best in the industry.

Seems like the "Rune of Valiance" is somewhat bugged or the description sucks.

"A piece of armor can only bear one Rune of Valiance" it says. Well, to that sound like that I can only put 1x rune of them in every piece of my armor. Since my Champion's Armor got 2 rune slots, I just put one in there and 1 in every other armor piece. Problem is that it doesn't stack. It's giving me only the "+7 to all Attributes" instead of stacking them. I think it's badly written tooltip because I couldn't even tell how overpowered it would be if you get "+28 to all Attributes" all 4(5) of them.

Finished the game in about 23 hours with almost all quests done.

It was alright, ending was a cliffhanger as expected.

I'm sure we'll see DA3 next holiday season or sooner.

I don't know, I've played more today (quite a lot more actually) and while I still think it's a 6/10 game at best, I somehow started to like it a bit. It still feels quite boring most of the time but something still keeps me in the game. I know the quests are pretty boring and so, but the amount of them is quite amazing, at least in that first part of the game (after a year since your arrival at Kirkwall). One thing that still is really annoying for me is that lack of diversity in maps/levels or how to call them. I might actually finish the game if I don't get really bored of doing pretty much the same things over and over again. Again, I still think this is quite a bad game, almost like Arcania, but unlike that abomination this has something that makes it quite enjoyable at moments. This isn't a game I would recommend to anyone though (maybe just to some derps Laughing ).

Actually, to be completely fair..... Qunari ARE horned creatures. Sten, the character, was unique in that he was born without horns. The race itself is a horned one.

I had no idea he was born w/o horns.

What about the Qunari mercenaries throughout the game though?

Eh, who cares.
