Try going to the hanged man pub and talk with her there, maybe it's just a small glitch and the quest will trigger properly once in the correct area, also it could be related to Dog if you have it so click on him a well.

I named my guy Shepard Hawke, in honour of this being Dragon Effect. But Mike or Stringfellow seem worthy candidates for a second playthrough (assuming I can stomach that).

I just started Act 3, and my overriding impression of the game so far is that it is essentially just loosely strung together pack of DLC whose only connection to one another is that they all occur in the same general vicinity and involve the same main character. This must surely rank as the worst implementation of a framed narrative ever.

But you can manage pretty well with just potions anyway on Hard.

Only Hawke can wear armour. Companions can only use weapons and accessories (rings/belts/amulets) and have fixed armour (or lack thereof, in the case of Isabela). Their armour's stats can be upgraded though and a couple get either new armour or retextures at various points.

When looking to buy upgrades from merchants, check the "Other" tab (should be the 4th tab, left to right). Make a habit of checking every merchant after any major plot quest finishes. I think upgrades available in one act disappear in the next act if you haven't bought them.

When searching, simply hold down the tab key at all times and check every single lootable item you see (which you should be doing anyway). There should be an upgrade lootable somewhere during most companion quests (certainly in acts 1 & 2 anyway).

Dragon age 2 has a 6.7 rating user rating on IGN, and now the user review section for dragon age 2 is mysteriously gone.

how did you guys enable the Signature DLC items? I simply can't get them activated following the instructions in the readme :/

I wonder if it's because I own DA2 on steam, so it can't "patch" the exe?

There aren't any big effects, just some references here and there. Importing saves in any game is majorly overrated imo.

For anyone starting Act 2, explore the areas even if you don't see quest markers. While almost anything was highlighted in Act 1, there are quite some random events and loot in Act 2.

I'm pretty positive that there'll be a mod out soon that "unlocks" party members armor so you can change it. It doesn't SEEM like it'd be a hard mod to create, but what do I know.

Dragon.Age.2.Official.Game.Guide.XBOX360.PS3.PC.pdf

there is this(dont know if it covers all), u can read what extra cutscenes and quests there are if u import; for example there are 2 quests about 2 companions from origins; so if u kill them in the first game, no quests in part 2 Very Happy

I am pretty sure that their "armour" is a part of their models, so we might only get retextures.

All the party NPCs still follow the separate head and body model approach. The heads are all morphs, just like in Origins. That's why everyone has giant things around their neck - to hide the join line. So with that in mind, it would be fairly straight forward to outright replace the body models that individual companions use. Allowing them to have equippable armour though that changes body models on the fly, that's a much taller order. If it's controlled via GDAs then it might be possible in theory, but there could be hardcoded elements in the UI that would prevent it or make it impractical.
