They should've had China invade, at least that would've been slightly plausible. NK would probably run out of fuel before reaching the US, their infrastructure sucks. Laughing

Aside the fact, that it's not NK, but Unified Korean, which rules over Japan and some other Asian governments, probably backed up by the Chinese.

Also they detonated a nuclear warhead above the USA so that the EMP blast pacified whatever was left of the crumbling by the financial crisis country.

No one said it would be easy being the leading country of the world.

Btw this game is alright for MP but if you already have BC2 there's no point in getting this, the vehicles suck except the remote control vehicles which are good for cheap kills, weapons and sounds are dull same with effects and graphics, jumping around and prone diving is revolutionized in this game, the mp level design is alright compared to other games lots of detail in the environments.

If you were unimpressed by the gameplay videos than the game it self will probably be unimpressive as well, if this was one of those f2p games with a cash shop it might be worth playing but its not worth playing over any other war FPS that's out atm just poorly executed recycled game play.

I think the story is that north Korea allied with south Korea and than attacked the US.

Roughly 38 Euro from what I see, a bit over 40 for the .se version of Gamersgate (Which I don't really use anymore.) and I guess key stores and of course retail options will see a lower pricing than that. Smile

Ah gotta try it then, alternate history stuff is always fun (even if usually completely unrealistic).

It's covered by the screens mostly, first image I posted (EDIT: One page back, middle of the thread.) shows the settings used, second shows game specific options such as subtitles and difficulty.

Game runs at ~40 FPS most of the time at 1680x1050 with 2x AA and everything else enabled and set as high as possible, INI tweaking were undertaken as well to re-enable certain things but not much was needed, shadow res was boosted up to 2048 at highest and 64 at min resolution (pixel) from 16 min and 1024 max, streaming was also buffered by improving the cache amount allocated to it, other settings were checked but there wasn't much to adjust and it's some modified UE3 build so many options are new or heavily altered, FPS smoothing and mouse acceleration were verified to be disabled as well.

Extra shadow resolution, SSAO and AA hits performance the most it seems but later end ATI and NVIDIA (Driver issues also part of the problem but updated drivers or profiles should help a bit.) cards will likely have no problems with the game, uses DX10 mode as I mentioned or maybe they forgot to disable support for it but all files are there and it works without visual anomalies or errors/glitches in any way so I've kept it on whatever it does add to the game (AA?).

in fact, we learn from History that loosers are always BAD and winners are always good. Just imagine if Hitler could have crushed Stalin, what people would have said about Russians and Communists ?
By the way, in Fallout 3 you can see ghouls of Chinese army in US territory, that's funny.

Aha.

ATI 4890 Sapphire Vapor-X 2GB
DDR3 1800 (At 1600 though lower timings.) 4GB OCZ RAM.
QX6850 Intel CPU at 3.2 Ghz / 400 FSB (Thus the ram alterations.)
Asus Maximus Extreme x38 board.
PPU100 card.
Thermaltake PSU (1.2KW)
Asus Xonar D2X sound card.

Should be all of it that would affect performance, PPU is pretty outdated but still utilized now and then due to driver hacks but this game doesn't really use much in terms of PhysX or at least any GPU/PPU accelerated effects.

EDIT: ~40 is pretty OK though it seems but it depends on resolution and other stuff as well obviously though I think I do OK still.

Homefront

7.0 Gameplay
Homefront feels like your typical shooter. It’s fun, but it doesn’t do anything new or exciting.

Black Ops

8.0 Gameplay
You can’t help but feel that both the single- and multiplayer could use some new life beyond just adding bigger and badder explosions (like smarter AI). Still, Call of Duty provides plenty of fun.

Huh?

Homefront

7.0 Lasting Appeal
This is tough. Homefront’s single-player campaign is disappointingly short, but some of that deficit is made up by its robust multiplayer offerings.

Black Ops

9.0 Lasting Appeal
There’s more content than most other shooters. Customization is massive; from Create-A-Class to private matches online. Multiplayer will take you months even if the new content comes at some expense.

So multiplayer is good in both and the SP length of Black Ops doesn't even get a mention here?

Brilliant review. 5/5 stars Rolling Eyes

They wouldn't have to, most Americans have trouble walking 10 feet without running out of breath.
