Agreed, they truly are spectacular! Incredibly damaging in-game too ... though my only gripe is just how... well... inconsequential they are. Yeah, they do a lot of damage to your health bar, but honestly; some of these moves look far, far, far more damaging than any Fatality in the game, yet the opponent just gets backup and continues the fight as if nothing happened aside from a slight tickle.

Far more damaging than any fatality? Fatalities involve decapitation and mutilation. As extreme as the X-Ray moves are I think your comment is an exaggeration. I agree with what you say about the player getting back up as if nothing happened though!
After having bones broken, they should be handicapped in some way depending on where they had their bones shattered!
I said damaging, not fatal Decapitations aside, you really should look at the X-Ray moves again -- tell me how Sub-Zero punching a hole into your body, freezing one of your organs, then shattering it ISN'T considered "more damaging" than, say, chopping one of your arms off. Or how come stamping on their head until the skull shatters and crushing the BRAIN isn't considered more damaging than limb removal? Baraka shoving his blades through your body and shattering/severing your spinal column...? I don't care who you are, you ain't walking away from that
Honestly, don't get me wrong; I love the X-Ray attacks, but I just think they're WAY over the top for what are, essentially, just standard attacks. To be honest, I'd have rather the X-Ray moves be Fatalities in general. Scorpion could use F, D, F + Triangle to chop you apart with his blade... or he could use B, D, B + Triangle to perform an X-Ray fatality.
Ok I agree to agree or something lol. Im not that bothered to be honest. Maybe I allowed myself to get too involved in thread as I dont usually. Either way the game looks good I cant wait for a release.
Apparently each character has only one fatality each in the demo.
Scorpion - Forward, Down, Forward, Triangle
Johnny Cage - Forward, Forward, Back, Down, X
Mileena - Back, Forward, Back, Forward, Triangle
Sub-Zero - Back, Forward, Down, Forward, Circle
X-rays are performed by pressing L2+R2 together once you filled the meter at the bottom of the screen. When the meter is filled halfway you can either do two ex moves or one combo breaker.
Haven't you played the demo yet, mate? The game has in-game moves list, including Fatalities and Stage Fatalities, though it only lists some minor combos - not the huge ones. I'm hoping it's JUST the demo limitation where there's only one Fatality for each character.
Tried the demo and thought it was amazing but I hope the story mode is interesting and will keep me busy. Hell, I liked the story mode of MK vs DC Comics lol, I actually even finished it !
OMG... easy is still not easy. Its really extreme where in the first level the AI just waits for us to own them to the fourth level where they even block our X-ray moves. The enemy AI scales with every level. Why have they not removed this feature till now.

Each character definitely has multiple fatalities and 'x-ray' moves. When you watch the lil video trailer at the end of the demo, it shows the 'krypt' where you can unlock new fatalities & x-ray moves. certainly these are in addition to the default fatalities/x-ray that each character already has initially. I can't imagine, say Baraka, having NO fatality until you unlock it from the krypt.
I wonder how the additional X-Ray moves will work? Generally, L2+R2 trigger the X-Ray attacks... so what would be the combination/modifier for the alternate ones? Still, good news thanks!
