Cut post of mine from some other board.
On the game play side of things it's beyond stupid you can 1-2 shot people across the map with any gun. You either camp (which is the easiest thing in the world to do) or run around like a spastic kid and hope to not get shot. I've done both and won a few games with good objective control but it's boring as heck. Vehicles are kind of interesting considering they don't die instantly like you do.
Just seems like more console aimed crap at the end of the day. I pumped some hours into it but I don't find myself having fun. Boring game. I've wasted money on worse experiences so whatever. BF3 is a frightening concept even with it's alleged PC focus. Consoles are involved and that means at least some design focus heads that way. /shudder.
If you're thinking of buying this yeah just don't.

Well, I don't see any DX option in the graphics menu, then it must auto-detect the DX version depending on your GPU?

Any way to change the sound effects in the config file? I can't find it there and ingame the game won't save my sound settngs...I hear the sound effects very loud and scratchy and can't hear what they are saying..

My game doesn't even save. I had the same issue as you, exiting the game and relaunching it fixed it, but as soon as I tried changing the volume, it started again.

Probably a dumb question, but does the cracked copy work in MP? I'm going to test the game, but it has a short campaign and it's MP where I'd decided to buy or not.

Not a dumb question.
I don't know if there are currently any cracked servers running but because this game has dedicated server files I'm pretty sure we'll see some sooner or later.
