Looking for some advice on upgrading my xbox hard drive.
I'm a complete newbie, been looking at some tutorials on how to do it but they seem to have conflicting info.
on a scale of 1 to 10 how easy would it be to sort it out ????

veeeery easy

1. unlock HDD with config magic
2. in evox: go to settings then backup
3. with a ftp client: copy the backup folder on c:, UDATA and TDATA on E: to your harddrive
4. turn off xbox and connect your new HDD
5. burn superdisc (#super-disc on EFnet)
6. boot with superdisc and format the HDD (large)
7. then Install large drive
8. copy the TDATA and UDATA to E:
9. lock the HDD with Config Magic
10. done Razz

EDIT: this is the way i did it Smile

Yes - you just need to lock your hard drive. Google or xbox-scene for more info.

exactly the same way you do it with a mod m8.

If you mean TSOP flashed by softmod.

Used the HD swap method to install a font exploit.

Doesn't leave a lot of options to install a new HD?

I used my PC to upgrade the HD on my box. I went from the factory size to a 80GB. Now I'm using a 120GB with no problems.

Xbox-scene has a very detailed guide for installing a bigger HD in a softmod box. I've used it to upgrade the HD on many boxes. They all work.

Feel free to PM me if you have a question. Smile
