Bit over the top and the start reminded a fastforwarded "Lock stock...". I liked the humor and as with every Guy Ritchie's flick: great soundtrack.

Right on the money with the OST, mate it is great! Smile

Mark Strong was great as well

127 Hours - 7,5/10

I already knew the story, and probably this spoiled a bit the "surprise factor", but the movie is definitely well made, with excellent photography and perfectly fitting music.

Inside Job - ?

I can't really put a score on this film as I am not sure if the film's producers had a totally impartial view when making this film. However, I do appreciate the evidence based approach the documentary has taken and it doesn't rely on Michael Moore style antics to push it's point.

season of the witch 6/10

to be fair it'd be more like a 5.7892/10, but im rounding up...

first of all i love these kinds of period films. and i love fantasy films. so right off the bat, the films got some shit going for it that im going to naturally love. i dont MIND the kinda low budget'y feel of it... from the meh cgi, generic corny dialog and medium grade acting... i like the kind of independent feel it had going for it, that usually gets ruined by higher production values...

if anything, id say nic cage was the odd-thing. i mean hes one of the most mainstream hollywood actors you could expect to find, and i think having him in a film like this, made the production feel cheaper and worse than it otherwise would have. imagine a no-name actor in the role, and this movie would feel like one of those unnoticable and barely marketed independant foreign films you just kinda stumble across that turns out to be pretty enjoyable.

but no, it had nic cage, so it felt like a mainstream film gone terribly wrong. alas.

but yeah, i thought it was pretty decent... it could have done with a bit more of a darker more serious and depressing feel (ie the recent, and quite enjoyable black death)... it felt a bit too cartoonish and 'light'... kinda going for that popcorn 'adventure' genre, which felt a bit wrong given the witch/black death/killer zombie demon priests stuff, which suited a more horror/heavier genre.

but over all it was good, if a bit simplistic in its design, up until the killer zombie priests already mentioned. i wouldnt have MINDED, if only the action had been shot better. there was a chance for an exciting fight sequence... but no... lots of close up sword slashes, simple movements, and quick cuts. totally boring finale... and it just goes down hill from there. cheesy as fuck death scenes (was that supposed to be emotional music i was hearing? because i almost laughed at the end there), and then some stupid cheesy fucking dialog about how ignorant we all are for thinking it was a plague, and she shall spread the true word that the power of jesus saved us all from the demons! thanks, bro'!

yep, enjoyable enough movie, with a fucking terribly lazy and insultingly painful ending. pity really. i honestly wouldnt say the film in its entirety was as terrible as others have said... i had fun with it. and id watch it again, but it definately has its problems.

Napoleon Dynamite - 5/10.

I wanted to watch it after seeing it was considered a 'classic' by some people.
But I didn't really got into it, it was just too weird, with no real storyline.
