I don't care if I get banned or not. just felt like being helpful towards the community that I'm reading on for like 5 years or something.

On to the game - it's kind of fun game, quite different than the original sims. The camera needs some time to getting used to it. Fresh, fun and playable for some time atleast it seems.

Back to the game.

no its not about being banned, not that anyone replied to you saying such, its more about being sensible, regardless of you viewing for 5 years and not posting..

But also one should not take it personally, nobody is having a dig..

@people saking how is it: meh.

You get a starter king character, do quest. Build new building, create new character in there, new quests open up (some require specific character like a blacksmith, the king, a knight, etc).

Quests are basicly fetch this, talk to that, etc. You get mini-tasks alongside the main quest each day (like work orders for the blacksmith, kingy stuff for the king, etc).

Once a quest is done, you are forced to pick a new one and if you chose one that requires a specific character, you are forced to play with that guy while the others become AI. There is no way to just "live" without having a quest or god forbid, chose them at your leisure. No time limit, so that might help a bit here, but it can still be annoying that if you want to play as a specific sim, you have to finish your current quest and chose one that allows the one you want to play as. If you want yet another one, it's rinse and repeat.

The kingdom building is also meh. You get resource points for quests that you can later spend on buildings (some of them house a playable character as mentioned above).

Might be fun for a few days, but I can see it getting really boring really fast.

There's also whole area view which makes you able to see all other kingdoms around you. You can trade and stuff. For now, UI seems abit clumsy but after getting over it - it might either be really fun or get boring. I'll see

zmed, so the quests aren't automated? You actually have to do things by yourself? Are the choices mentioned in that FAQ actually implemented in the gameplay?

Anyway, based on your lowdown, I really think I'll pass.

They are a bit like the missions in World Adventures. You get multiple tasks you need to preform, sometimes asks you to make a choice (like do you send the squire for the tournament equipment or you go yourself, or you challenge the guy who offended you to the death or just until one of you drops, things like that). Also you can chose in what way you want to start the quest. For example there is a quest for the knight about a boar terrorising the village. you can either go into the quest outright trying to hunt down the boar for the bounty or let it escape before others kill it.

It's not like you chose a quest, the selected heroes go off-map and you wait for a timer to run out. Pretty much everything happens on map.

It's on BitGamer, so I guess it's legit. People say it works in the comment.

A Universe without blackholes will cover information. I believe, that there are more of them without instead of those with it.

The point is just to build your kingdom up by buying new structures by doing quests etc. so far.

It's like Sims mixed with The Guild. As if that wasn't obvious from the first gameplay videos.

If I'll use the RELOADED version, which patch should I download?

The disc patch:
Code:
http://akamai.cdn.ea.com/eadownloads/u/f/sims/sims/patches/TheSimsMedievalPatch_1.1.10.00001_Update.exe

Or the digital download patch:
Code:
http://akamai.cdn.ea.com/eadownloads/u/f/sims/sims/patches/TheSimsMedievalPatch_1.1.10.00107_Update.exe

I used the launcher and downloaded the patch and it works with the devidox crack.
I thought blocking the launcher from internet access would prevent it from downloading anything but i guess i was wrong.

It is a bit of a kid game, but it's fun for a while i guess. It's a lot similar to the old sims, but they improved the rpg elements and streamlined a few of the old mundane routines. I just played a bit so i don't know how boring it might become. I do like the inventory and the questing and the whole medieval setting. I guess i'll play it a bit more before passing judgement.
