Alright guys, I had to rage quit the campaign just now. The fucking AI is cheating. They can see you thru walls, they rip the shit out of you within 2 seconds. You can't even switch to armor mode before they rape you.
It's fucking boring. You always have to walk cloaked, or else they rape you. Dude, they made another Metal Gear Solid and not a Crysis sequel.

s'tru the AI still has that 100% detection rate if you so much as have a toe showing from 200 meters. You would just run into the middle of the vast jungle in the past game but now the maps are smaller

now if they made all of that city destructible ala bad company style. That truly would be next gen.
actually when i heard crytek talking about the city, the buildings, and being able to move vertically, not just horizontally, for some reason (part stupid blind optimism, part honest believe that crytek does do some really cool things in terms of game technology) that destroying buildings and being able to move through them n shit was going to be part of it... a natural realistic urban environment as opposed to a natural realistic jungle one.

yeah unless the games been massively tweaked in difficulty between the beta and final (and if anything, id think theyd have made it EASIER) the game is pretty easy. i think the hardest fight i might have had, was the ending one... which wasnt very hard either.
certainly nothing in it kicked my ass like crysis sometimes did. specially those motherfucking helicopters
only time i had problems in crysis 2 was when i almost ran out of ammo at some point, when i was fighting those alien dudes in the street..
BTW.. Waiting for a release, I now remember there were people posting in this thread that because of the leak the PC version would definitely be released months later after the console version.. or even altogether cancelled! Or at the very least there would be a delay of a few weeks because they needed the time to reapply the protection or whatever
I don't want to be the guy that says I told you were being ridiculous but I hope that looking back whoever had these thoughts realize what they were thinking was nonsense.
Note: I don't specifically remember who believed that, and I wouldn't be surprised if they have forgotten it themselves.

Yeah, but only half the time. I felt like a lot of the time I could walk up on two guys and one might see and start running or shooting and the other guy just stood there

It was the same way in the original Crysis (and I noticed this during the Crysis 2 beta as well). You could be on the edge of the beach/jungle border, prone behind a rock and in bushes, but as soon as you uncloacked and stuck your little toe out the patrol boat on the edge of the horizon in the ocean instantly zeroed in and killed with pinpoint accuracy.
I think the mistake here is people assumed Crytek made a game. They didn't. It's simply a tech demo, except this time without the tech!
