No, but that doesnt change the fact that they could be waiting with the new patch for this card to be released.

Of course, you do not. Unless you're playing on a fat-ass giant 30" monitor, or on a multiple-screen configuration.

Probably because the resolution you use is upscaled from a lower one - maybe such as 1920x1080?

You misunderstand how display spanning works. As far as the games are concerned, you have just one massive monitor, so there's no difference between a single 30" monitor at 2560x1600 or 3 smaller ones at 5760x1080.

I honestly don't know how it works. So I just threw out a mere suggestion. Thanks for the short clarification, though. Smile

Even if there would be DX11 patch, its not gonna make lot of difference to this console port. Tesselation and other shit wont make textures any sharper :/ Unless its Maximum PC patch, with reworked textures and everything Very Happy

I don't think they are going to release reworked assets, and textures are probably sharper than on consoles in the first place. Didn't Crysis 1 had its fair share of awful textures:

Try using an external tool to force disable the CatAI. Running in window mode is not a solution as the game doesn't run in maximum performance.
true, i think the ATi Catalyst Application Profiles that handle the crossfire profiles now isn't updated for Crysis2 properly yet

you need AMD_Catalyst_11.2_CAP4.exe that has an updated Crysis2 profile.

Crysis 1 had a lot of awful textures. It also used a lot of nasty tricks like not loading the highres textures unless you were standing a feet in front of the object.

That is not running at high settings though. Low AA and it looks like AF is disabled as well - plus, if this is on NVIDIA it might be the infamous "cheat/bug/feature".

Fuck, give the release already. Want to play this through with 3D (Crytek derp console 3D, anyway looks better than 2D). Played only couple levels in beta.

Well the guy said textures were set to very high, and I also remember many some bad looking textures from my playthrough.

AA, AF wouldn't make a difference (well AF would if they were at an angle but they are not)

Crysis 1 is incompatible with AA due to the PoM effect, there is a rather extensive shader mod however that amongst many other things adds this back - http://www.crymod.com/thread.php?threadid=67344&sid=9fa88c5a21f6be7555698a20a07a336f or http://crymod.com/thread.php?postid=777883#post777883

Lighting and such can't be judged either due to ToD or similar mods that might be used.

EDIT: Sorry, AF. Smile
(Crysis 1 is semi-compatible with AA if r_UseEdgeAA=0 is used, I prefer the looks of =2 mode however, Crysis 2 has a =3 mode as well but I can't get it working unfortunately.)

EDIT: Posted some more Crysis 2 images, midway-trough roughly.

EDIT: Images.

(Second playtrough actually since I finished the beta already, impatient and curious I guess.)

You mean AF. Smile I was talking only about the textures of the original, the lighting of C1 and C2 is so completely different looking I can't compare them.
