thx for the advices i ll try now. i really wonder if they will add editable graphic settings with patch

you can use this commandline setting for the crysis 2 desktop shortcut:
+r_postmsaa=0

This removes the wishy-washy effect but also leads to more aliasing (obviously)
Haven't tried forcing AA in the control panel yet, don't know if it works..

edit: forget it, use the program above, thanks

Weird, when I use the shortcut command it disables the msaa for me, but when I use this application that changes settings it doesn't change anything for me. Any ideas why? Sad

Is that the old G80 GTS? The 320/640MB one? Damn... I thought that would be enough for this, considering you could run Crysis 1 on an 8600 >_<

As for me; I am loving the SHIT out of this game Very Happy Using the Crysis tweaker basically ending up with a hybrid "Advanced+" settings, half on high and half on medium. Performance is... well... it's to be expected considering the sorry state my hardware is in at the moment; 35-60fps at 1920x1080. Definitely feels a lot smoother than Crysis 1, though obviously not *as* pretty --- oh and it dicks the PS360 in every orifice. Lovely.

Game itself, after only 30 minutes in so far, is insanely good fun. I'm having a LOT more fun with this than I expected I would. I'll give a proper opinion tomorrow once I play some more... so far, so good though!

What "Remove Auto Aim" in patch 1.1 means exactly? that's multiplayer only?

@Pl@tinum: Many thanks! Wink

I'm quite enjoying the game so far, good graphics even at Gamer settings (even though the bloom is a bit too much overused), excellent soundtrack and decently solid gameplay. It's obviously not an innovative game nor a complex one (the levels are overall rather linear) but it's better than many of the recent uber-on-rails shooters (yeah Homefront I'm looking at you Laughing). At least it's possible to use different "tactics" against enemies, thanks to the slightly derpified nanosuit. All in all, it's a good game, but it could have been better with more attention to detail

Yeah somehow I kinda lost interest around that time - had to force myself to complete it. Great fun until then. Razz

Crysis had the same problem with its alien stuff as well.

Your opinion is WRONG! Mad

Anyway, the retail definitely performs better than the beta (well, duh!), too bad that the advanced graphics tool doesn't seem to be able to completely remove the motion blur.
Noticed that quicksaving and quickloading are not present, although they were in the beta, one more thing to add in the future patches or was it removed because it was breaking stuff?
The suit speed mode seems to be increased too, although it's still slower than the original suit especially while strafing.

Runs fine 35-45fps on gamer settings on my 8800GTS, so I guess I'll play it through to see any differences in the campaign versus the beta campaign.

Rather enjoying the game, I'm about an hour into it, and its fun. Loved the enemy firing over the top of barricades when you have him pinned down behind it, neat little touch.

Hardcore graphic settings here and looks lovely, smooth as butter so far, will maybe tweak a little tomorrow. Very Happy

I don't see why it wouldn't run on a 8800GTS , especially in DX9.... Maybe it need some tweaks or drivers update.

I have a 9800GTX so hopefully i'm not getting fucked as well. I really have zero interest in playing this on a console after trying the PS3 version Laughing

Oh but it does run.
It's just not officially supported by the game.

Gotta say the same thing about the first Crysis. It was great until the alien/winter part. Shooting those mosquito like flying ET was fun for 10 minutes but got boring quick. I had much more fun having firefights with the Koreans.

Hopefully Crysis 2 has a better variety of alien enemies.

http://crytek.com/sites/default/files/c2_ce3_key_rendering_features_final_2.pdf

According to Crytek consoles run with everything set on High (which is the lowest setting in the PC version) and they have lower texture quality because they use streaming, which is disabled in the PC version because PCs have high amounts of RAM.

Other differences: PC version is the only one that uses true FP16 HDR, only in the PC version the shadows are updated every frame, only the PC version casts shadows for every light (no matter the amount of them), only the PC version uses vertex displacement for the water.

Finally the PC version is meant to be played at 1080p@60fps as long as you chose the right settings for your system.

Also real stereo (3D) will come on PC with a patch.

Only played until the first checkpoint so far, but since I went through a couple of areas that I remember that were a bit demanding on the beta I'd say I have a fairly accurate idea of my general performance.
Which is 35-45fps, Gamurrrrrr settings, 1440x900, FoV 65 + EdgeAA and any kind of blur turned off.
