gameplaywise i read it isn't really that much of a boring simulator as GT5 and focuses more about being fun so i guess that explains why.

For JTAG, I usually wait for .xex patches, but is there a way to make them yourself, or use .xex file from another game

Steering is like in the first one. Very bad. Controller or Wheel whereas the wheel is a bit preciser but far away from being perfect like in Forza.
Also the arcade style even with all drivingaids off (like it should be played!) is very over the top. That is by far no simulation just another game by EA which is trying to act cool.
Just my two cents! Try it it for yourself.

I'm sorry, but what makes Forza so much better?
I have never played it, but all the footage I've seen shows the cars being glued to the road, and if that's your idea of realism I'm afraid you're sadly mistaken :/

forza is boring as fuck. Im dying for a racing game where you have a sense of speed. Forza or even GT5 don't have a sense of speed.  I might pick this up after i try the demo.

Planning to do so this weekend, but you still haven't said why Forza 3 is better, because from my point of view it looks unrealistic as hell. Easier to drive, but not realistic.

if you want a realistic racing game then go drive on a track. Racing games are meant to be awesome and fun with great tracks and enjoyable. Forza and GT series aren't at all enjoyable. They're tedious. Shift series are at least fun to play. Same with burnout series.
