Do you happen to listen on some cheap 20$ speakers (or the default shitty HDTV "speakers")?
Because with anything other than that, you wouldn't say that. But indeed, a 640Kbit AC3 has a comparable quality to a 1.5Mbit DTS.

Pfff! 20$ speaker... Mine cost 20€! 
Yeah and the HD TV speakers aren't any good either
So for my two speaker setup 128kbit on each channel is more than enough. Ofc I'd be bitching if I had a 5.1 setup and just stereo sound!

Yup. And apparently the 720p release is already nuked. So another reason, other than the obvious, for choosing 1080p.
