What is exactly so cryptic or pseudo-cryptic?

- Doug worked for Aperture Science.
- Chell was a "research volunteer".
- Doug was likely the last human alive (excluding Chell) during Portal 1 and the messages Chell saw on the walls were his.
- Doug instead of leaving the place when Chell blew it up, went back in to help her after she was captured by the "Party Escort Bot".

I think it's very straight forward..

TWIN PEAKS is "something of a miracle."
"...like nothing else on television."
"a phenomenon."
"A tangled tale of sex, violence, power, junk food..."
"Like Nothing On Earth"

Seven posts before yours, near the bottom of the page right before this one. I could understand your statement if it was buried 20 pages prior... but one page and a handful of posts.

Game is three times as long as Portal was (Unsure if that's SP or SP + co-op.) and will have further DLC announced shortly. (Or how to describe it, those pre-order things being what I refer to as the initial DLC.)

I hope that's true. Few months ago they said the SP was 2x Portal 1, recently they said it ended up being 2.5x Portal 1 and now they say it's 3x Portal 1?!

That means they're unsure how long the new portal is in comparison to the first one.

They said before "Single-player is... twice as long plus... a bunch more. It ended up we expanded out even more than we thought we were originally going to."

considering how short is the first one, 2.5x or 3x as long doesn't mean much difference

There is also the co-op campaign that has completely separate puzzles and storyline that's 2-2.5x longer than the original as well Wink

If Portal 1 was a 3 hour game, that makes Portal 2 last minimum ~12 hours and maximum ~16.

I hope you're right, but beware of the hype train... it always crashes in the end.

For me the game's length before I'm done with it for a while, should be even bigger as I will replay it to listen to the commentary. Wink

2x3 + 2x3 = 12

if you want to datamine the comic its fine... but i really doubt they are making it to give information about the game. there is plenty of info available in other forms (like videos of the actual game)

since nobody is being specific, i'm assuming that co-op would be a good 5 hours ?
I've must have finished Portal a dozen times, though i'll probably doing the same thing here, it doesnt really matter if it's short as long as it's sweet.A healthy 8 to 10 hours would be a real bliss.

Hopefully they won't be going the Portal Prelude way with the higher difficulty maps, the thing about the Portal campaign was that once you realised what you were supposed to do it was like a d'oh moment since the answer was obvious whilist in Prelude it was just overly complex and really fucked with the experience.
At leas the ren_test maps were really great.

I very much doubt it, I mean you can't make the AI solve puzzles with you...

thing is, it didnt last 3 to 4 hours, maybe if you were some kind of nitwit, 3 hours tops.
I completed it in less than 2 last time and messed around a bit in some levels.

the co-op thing sounds alright, but it would be alot more interesting to play it with someone, granted though i have to look for some friend to play it with, all of them (who bought the game) have jobs or are busy with college

The map obtained from the locations of photos hidden in the Aperture Science login archives seems to show the word PRELUDE if you take the letters formed in numerical order.

Pre-load date 14/4?
