It's not like Max Payne wasn't originally modeled after and played by the game's writer, Sam Lake Wink Very Happy

Imho you aren't missing much. I beat "Alan Wake" and thought it was pretty meh. Max Payne 1+2 (one of my top franchises of all time) were 100x better in both gameplay and storyline. Most of the praise that "Alan Wake" gets is from console derps who probably haven't even heard of Max Payne.

I played both Max Payne games multiple times, love them AND I praise Alan Wake. What does that make me? Wink

Yes, but Sam Lake, by all definitions has an epic win face.

You are probably talking about the in-game 3D model. He was fine in the graphic novel cutscenes.

Should this really be any surprise at this point?

as soon as it was announced you should have been preparing yourself for the inevitable sodomy of max payne.

I mean cripes, Max is a fat, balding resident of Brazil for crying out loud. Totally noir. lol wut

I don't know if it's just nostalgia, but even if it wasn't completely appropriate I loved Max's face in MP1 Laughing

He had that cool smugface that always put me in a good mood Laughing

As for MP3, I'm expecting something like K&L2 with better story/physics..I'm not hyped at all at the moment. Sad

MP1 face was epic, no doubt. He was a smug bastard, but then again, if I went against 300 people, and killed them all, I'd be smug too Cool Face

I also found this, while surfing the web:

MP1 Max looked like he got kicked in the balls and tried to act cool but didn't really succeed in covering the pain. I guess you can interpret some parallel to the story into it but still:

Timothy Gibbs FTW

I still think he deserves a shot in a Max Payne movie.

Well, he would have been completely out of place in the Max Payne movie, because the movie had about as much to do with the games, as I have to do with consoles. Nothing.

I will miss the sharp dialogue

Slice him, dice him, shoot him full of holes, blow him to bits, vaporise him, disinegrate him, no matter what you do, he'll still be back, good as new

Both AC2 and AC:B had several Ubisoft studios working on them and they were pretty damn successful.

No. 5.

Quote:
Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood is a worldwide production effort led by the Ubisoft Montreal Studio in collaboration with Ubisoft studios in Singapore, Bucharest, Québec City and Annecy, best known for developing the multiplayer in Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Chaos Theory.

That is for Brotherhood. I'll see if I can find a link about AC2.

The world is fucked. It really is. Is it so hard to make a proper sequel to the Max Payne phenomenon?! Seeing shit like that done makes me hope that the world will really end in 2012. Cool Face
