Not a bad game but most of the voice overs (accents) are really annoying .. especially the inspector.

I really liked the previous two, I dig the eerie setting that the game sets. Gonna give this a go.

Fuck! Wish I didn't have exams this week. Can't wait to get some free time for this.
Also, yeah, the voice overs aren't the best, but it's a small german company. I hated the main character from the 2nd game for like 75% of the game just based on his annoying ass voice Laughing

Yes. Well, the second one certainly, first one not so much, although things will be more familiar in BM2 after playing BM1. I'd recommend you play them all. They're great fun anyway. Smile

As a matter of fact, even though I did play and finished the previous games, it took me quite a while to remember and piece together the facts...and I still don't remember everything. Pretty basic thing to put some recap of previous games, at least in the manual...but nope, nothing.

yes even when you hold the cursor on the resolution slider for a few secs it recommends using a lower resolution. Personally 1680x1050 is perfect for me.

Just completed the first chaper and I must say that so far I like it more than the second one. Great game!

omfg...4 minutes of pain is all i have to say with this game. Sad

i don't like adventure game where you click at objects. this game has loads of them. Sad

i just mindlessly click the left mouse button for the first 3 or so minutes. the character moved by themselves. the only interaction is just clicking the left mouse button like a lab monkey. Sad

what's worse than that you say? 1920x1200 max resolution...that's what. the brain dead devs. is it so hard to support 2560x1600? they should be taken out to the firing range and each of them get shot in the foot. Sad

i exile this game to the realm of uninstall. Smile

Don't listen to heckknow and his short periods of gameplay, and 2560x1600 resolutions.

Game is a good and interesting adventure.

Yep, just finished it and enjoyed it. The game is quite easy, especially if you allow yourself to view hotspots, but it was interesting to see how the trilogy ends.

Sometimes during gameplay a flashing unlocked padlock appears in the upper left corner. What does it indicate?

Flashing book = task completed see your case file/dairy for new details
Padlock = new lead read about it in your case file/dairy or new location unlocked

Actually I think the manual states it is an unlocked extra. You can enter it from the main menu.

Somewhat unrelated to this third installment of the series, but is there any way to change the resolution in black mirror 1?
I can only select 800x600 in the config and that is just extremely unplayable on my monitor. Sad

Didn't play the first one, but finished 2+3. Awesome games. Story is better than most adventure games. Graphics seemed retarded at first, but then you realize how much work is put in it. There's lot of subtle dynamic effects. Game sure is slow paced though, with long and often boring monologues.

I don't think the monologues were boring, but the character's incessant talking to himself and usually dropping hints like crazy is disappointing. In my opinion the character shouldn't give more information about the object than the description alone and let me figure out if and how to use it. And I won't even mention the retarded journal that basically points you in the right direction...

The best part of this series is that puzzles actually make sense. In many adventures you don't know wtf is going on so you arbitrarily try shit (hm I have a tin can, a box of potatoes and some chewing gum. Ah yes combine them into a bazooka). I didn't get that once in BM2.
