Civ V is way easier for beginners then the other releases... so give it a try.

Now, I've tested it, and it works without issues.
SKIDROW Update 7
+ JBeckman's files (patch + DLC)
+ cracked exes from Chinese patch
+ steam_api.dll & steamclient.dll from Chinese patch OR keep same files from update7 (works in both cases)

Any suggestions how to google 1.0.1.217 cracked Chinese patch. What's the file for example?
1stnocd/3DM GAME?

peter980 - does installing that order allow the polynesian DLC to be playable? I have so far been unsuccessful as the chinese crack seems to disable all the DLC's released so far.

the link I found had the cracked files already in with the patch. I just copied jbeckman's files over and then the patchcrack.
NO LINKS TO ILLEGAL STUFF IN SIGS - DLC IS ILLEGAL TOO

Polynesia DLC (and other DLCs) working fine here. Just apply the Chinese patch and crack then put JBeckman's polynesia files into the game folder, that's it.

no reinstall needed here.. first jb's files then chinese files
A Universe without blackholes will cover information. I believe, that there are more of them without instead of those with it.

I would advise getting both sets of jb files (not just DLCs), since the set with updates includes updates to other DLCs, while chinese files only include updates to core game + mongols.

3DMGAME_CIV5_v1.0.1.221 it's what you need to google.
The method is the same as before. Beckman's files followed by the cracked files.
You need to be on the v.1.0.1.217 for the patch to work properly.
Recap:
a. Civ5
b. update 7 from SkidRow
c. patch 1.01.217 provided by JBeckamn + Polynesia DLC (same source)
d. patch 1.01.221 provided by JBeckman
e. the cracked files from 3DMGAME_CIV5_v1.0.1.221

"c" isn't really needed since update 7 from skidrow includes 167.
But you do need 1.0.1.217, from JBeckamn, plus Polynesia DLC files from JBeckamn.

thats a shame as i would have bought it but because of all the dlc and bonus civilization crap they pull ill stick to the skidrow version thanks
